3D Modeling

Students will develop their understanding of flowcharts by developing a structure and plan to create a final 3D design in Sketchup (Computer Aided Design), they will then use CAD software to produce a unique design. Students will also develop their understanding of measurements, units, co-ordinates and axes. They will present their work in a way that shows how their designs meet the project brief.

Understanding of flowchart and design Flowol and CAD is for design.Students can find practice their skills around these here: https://edu.sketchup.com/app

Students will be able to research and practice and extension tasks for website design here: https://www.w3schools.com/html/ https://www.w3schools.com/css/

Summer Term (Apr June)

The 3D modeling unit will continue for the majority of term 2, before beginning the Website Development Unit detailed below

Website Development

Students will develop their working knowledge of web-design by learning how HTML and CSS contribute to web-design. Students will be introduced to key techniques and then given the opportunity to immediately implement these in their own website projects. In making a website of at least 4 pages, they will make independent use of Cascading Style Sheets and other complex techniques to
