Studentsaresethomeworkfortwoorthreesubjectspereveningandthisshouldtotalaboutoneandahalf hoursworthofhomeworkpernight WedonotbelievethatitishealthyforYear7studentstoberegularly spendingmoretimethanthisworking,especiallyiftheyfeelunderpressuretodoso.InYear8,their homeworkallocationincreasestotwohoursperevening,witheachstudentreceiving3x40minutespieces ofwork.

INGENERAL
Ensurethatyourchildcompletestheirhomework,butdoesnʼtspendtoomuchtimedoingit Aboutoneand a half hours should be enough for most Year 7 students. AllowingtimetoreadinEnglishisanincredibly valuable aspect of homework and should be encouraged. Please remember the importanceofyourchild getting enough sleep.
