PROJECT 01-2 PRE – POST PANDEMIC
Pre-COVID The life that we used to has been taken for granted, by us. Performing where the spotlights are on us. Taking pieces by pieces, producers join hands with performers stitches out the staging with unimaginable elements, bringing out their best for us, the audience. The ever-changing stage has never failed to surprise us as audience. Do you anyhow miss that experience?
Post-COVID
The pandemic strikes in, all activities come into halt. Physical contact is then prohibited. Performer falls into despair. All shows shall not be going on. Uncertainties of the future has made the creatives drown into anxiety, and depressed.
One moment later, adapting to the virtual becomes a trend. The creatives is now slowly getting back on their feet and start anew – ‘the dawn of virtual show’. Online platform has opened many doors of opportunities, yet it limits us recreating the atmosphere experience that can only be portray through live performance.
Speculation
A reimagination of how performance art would be in near future, where we maintain social distancing and allow human interaction to certain extend, physical contact plays a big part of performing art.
PROJECT 01-3 NEW INTERVENTION
REIMAGINE The reimagination combines and adapts the -- of park rides, whereby it brings the audience to experience shows while journeying through the space..
Audience patiently wait at the waiting area, in order to get into the transportation pods
Stage 01 upper half of the performance The audience sit in individual pods. As the show begins, the car pods will be lead to the first stage.
Outdoor landscape Intermission
During the intermission, audience are being lead to an outdoor and back to the performing stage to enjoy the other half of the show.
Stage 2 Lower half of performance During the intermission, audience are being lead to an outdoor and back to the performing stage to enjoy the other half of the show.
When the curtain calls, the audience are being sent to a platform and they bid goodbye to the show the performers put on together
