During your semester here in Lisbon you will need some office and study supplies. Our university has a reprography where you can print what you want for 0,03-0,18€, in the G building, on the left side of the elevator. Or if you prefer you can have it printed online and your copies will come to your home. https://www.aefful.pt/categoriaproduto/reprografia/

In case you want to print a book or any document or copy something you have several options of places to go to besides our own faculty’s stationary store. There are also several stores you can go to so you can accomplish that, such as Staples and SuperLivro. The store Staples exists in several locations, but nowadays due to the pandemic the closest one to Lisbon that is open is the one in Av. Mar. Gomes da Costa, near Parque das Nações. As for SuperLivro, it is located in Estrada de Benfica, being in a site a bit more far from the campus of FFUL.

Near our campus you have The Original Copy in Av. do Brasil, which is in Campo Grande. You also have Copycenter that is also near our faculty in Av. das Forças Armadas. Another place to go to, that is very near to our campus is Impressões do Bairro in Rua Dr. João Soares. In these stationary stores you will also be able to buy some office supplies and you will find out they make special prices for university students.

Frankie Near the Faculty of Psychology, and right next door of Copypaste, this place is known for its hotdogs. They have a student’s menu that includes a hotdog, fries and a drink, for only 5€. There is also a Frankie in Saldanha.

Casa do Lago It is in Campo Grande as well, beside McDonalds/Caleidoscópio, and has a nice terrace where you have a great view of the little lake. SHOPS- NEAR FFUL

They also have salads, fries and nuggets, and every Wednesday and Sunday, everything on the menu is 1€. They are open everyday, from 12h – 24h, and you can order takeaway. There are others 100 Montaditos located in Saldanha, Cais do Sodré, Campo Pequeno, Parque das Nações and São Domingos de Benfica.

LISBON for Newbies RESTAURANTS AND COFFEE

Honorato It is a hamburger restaurant with a great environment (and even greater bathrooms). The opening and closing time might vary depending on which Honorato you are going to; the closest one to our Faculty, in Telheiras, is open everyday from 12h – 16h and 19h - 22:30h. In Telheiras, Honorato has a terrace with surprisingly comfortable chairs, and is right next to the subway exit. There is also an Honorato in Saldanha, Parque das Nações, Belém and Chiado, and you can order takeaway.

SHOPS- FURTHER AWAY FROM FFUL

La Siesta It is a Mexican restaurant in Algés, right next to the Tejo River. It has a great terrace where you can enjoy the view of the river, and the restaurant decoration is really nice as well. They are open everyday, from 12h – 2h, and you can order takeaway.

LISBON for Newbies RESTAURANTS AND COFFEE

Nicolau It is a great place to have brunch or lunch, in Baixa-Chiado. There are also two similar restaurants (different names but they are all the same restaurant/they all have the same menu), Amélia, in Campo de Ourique, and Basílio, also in BaixaChiado. All of these restaurants have really nice and aesthetically pleasing decorations and the overall environment is really nice. They are open everyday, from 10h – 19h in Nicolau, from 9h – 22h in Amélia, and from 10h – 19h (9h – 22h on the weekends) in Basílio. You can also order takeaway on their website (only in Amelia) and they even offer you a slice of carrot cake.

Hygge Kaffe A coffee shop and a great place to study in Saldanha, where you can have brunch or just a healthy lunch. They are open everyday, from 9h – 19h, and you can order takeaway.

SHOPS- FURTHER AWAY FROM FFUL

Padaria Portuguesa It is a very common coffee shop that is almost everywhere, that sells sweets, bread, cookies and even fries. They have a breakfast menu and 4 different types of lunch menus (from 5,95€ to 7,95€); you can order these menus at any time of the day. LISBON for Newbies RESTAURANTS AND COFFEE SHOPS- FURTHER AWAY

Mercado da Ribeira or TimeOut Market Lisboa In Cais do Sodré, is a great place to go with friends and have a different experience. It has a lot of small restaurants you can choose from, some of them owned by big Portuguese chefs, and although it might be on the more expensive side, it is a great place to go to, even if it is just to have some ice cream or some pastéis de nata. Here you can find 26 restaurants, from hamburgers to seafood, 8 bars and some other business. Although it is currently closed, in a lockdown free Portugal, it is open everyday, from 10h – 22:30h.

FROM FFUL

Too Good To Go It’s an app that helps fight food waste. On this app, you can buy a magic box from your restaurant, coffee shop or even hotel of choice, and then go and pick up your order. The prices are usually super cheap, and you are buying what these restaurants didn’t sell that day (not leftovers from someone else, don’t worry). The downside of the app is that you can never know for sure what will be in your magic box until you go pick it up, and the fact that the time to go pick up your order is usually past lunch or dinner time hour (for example, if you want to reserve a magic box for dinner, you will only be able to pick up your order around 21h/22h // 9pm/10pm)
