After Tomorrow Nando’s Art Initiative 2017 Finalist
This is the digital painting I did for 2017 Nando’s Art Initiative. I made it into the finalist among over 600 participants nationwide. And I was honored that my artwork to be one of the top 50 pieces selected for the Nando’s Art Initiative Exhibition 2017 which held on 12 Sep 2017 at Publika, Malaysia. The purpose of doing this painting is to show the message that to warn we need to spend time wisely. Who knows what will happen after tommorrow? When we were young, we wish to grow up as soon as possible and we think we can achieve more but yet we couldn’t. When we are fully grown up, we always complain about the ruthlessness of Time - of not waiting for anyone else. However, in such paradoxical concept of time and growing up, our candle lights are getting dimmer by the seconds, and we beg to God wishing for Time to reverse back itself. Time waits for no one, so, spend them wisely and learn to live completely in the moment.

Silence International Poster Biennale Lublin 2017 Participant
This is the digital painting/poster I did for 2017 IPBL (International Poster Biennale Lublin). Sadly it couldn’t make it to next round but I enjoy doing this because I learn a lot from this which is a totally different style that I never use before. The purpose of doing this painting/ poster is to express one of the hobbits of myself which is space out. I like to stay in silence with a cup coffee and enjoy daily life. I like to space out myself with others, I really enjoy the moment of silence if gave me. Even those my parents are angry with me which they always says space out yourself is a waste of time, but I think it’s necessary for me or any others people. Because the city is moving too fast and crowdy, noisy, that’s why a moment of silence is kind of giving me a chance to refill my energy to chase my dream. Life is hard, why don’t you slow down your foot and enjoy the moment of silence.

Syndromes 2017 Practice
This is the poster I did for practice. So far, I knew my typography and layout skills are a bit weak, so after watched Chris Du’s tutorials or lessons, I tried to apply what I learned from him into this few posters. Why syndromes? It’s because someone that I respect told me “no one can be your savior for the inert syndrome other than yourself” back when I was still pursuing Bachelor because I was lazy during study time. And that’s why I use syndromes as this the theme of this poster series which can always remind me to work hard. This series of posters are very Chris Do’s style if you know him. I was learned a lot from his lesson on Youtube. I started to know how to lead audience eye by using colors, fonts, layout, and grid. After doing this, I felt I improved a lot on layout which not only help me in poster design, and also editorial design.

Star Wars Fans Art 2017 Practice
This is the fans art poster I did for upcoming Star Wars movie. I’m a huge Star Wars fans especially The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. I love this 3 because I was born in that era and the background of the story is really interesting. For this project, I not only do the illustration of the characters but also trying to playing around with typography. It’s the first time I tried to merge all the dark things together like the hair and shadow as one. So the outcome result is really impressive and work really well with the typography.
There are 2 versions of Luke Skywalker in this poster which are the young Luke on upper left and the old Luke at right bottom. Both also same actor which is Mark Hamill. Luke Skywalker was a Tatooine farmboy who rose from humble beginnings to become one of the greatest Jedi the galaxy has ever known. Along with his friends Princess Leia and Han Solo, Luke battled the evil Empire, discovered the truth of his parentage, and ended the tyranny of the Sith. A generation later, the location of the famed Jedi master was one of the galaxy’s greatest mysteries.

Here is some random illustration I did for assignments or self-practice. All of this illustrations are done back at 2015. It’s the year that I learn digital painting. It’s actually a good process for me, without doing this, I won’t improve and found my own art direction.
Ian McKellen This painting was done at 2015 for assignment, I have to choose one celebrity and paint it. This is the first time I paint a potrait by using digital way. It was fun and I had learned a lot from this, in this one you can see a lot of mistakes, those mistake helped me improve myself.

This painting was done at 2015, I was practicing to do gesture drawing on this one. A gesture drawing is a laying in of the action, form, and pose of a model/figure. Typical situations involve an artist drawing a series of poses taken by a model in a short amount of time, often as little as 10 seconds, or as long as 5 minutes. From Samurai A, you can see those rough sketch outline, it makes me quickly get the idea what I want to do. Then I applied greyscale to it, but change the color using the adjustment layer. From Samurai B, you can see it’s more detail, after doing the rough line to get the idea of what I want, I started to add more detail to the face and armor.

Endless Cycle Of Rebirth 2017 Assignment
This is a motion graphic I did for my assignment I have to create a compilation of motion graphic experimentations with clear art direction. Assets must be complimentary or adaptive for Motion Alphabet. The compilation of motion graphic required at least 15 scenes. I decided to create illustration type of motion graphic for this assignment. I combine my perpestive of life and samsara as the title of this short motion graphic. What is samsara? Samsara is a Sanskrit word that means “wandering” or “world”, with the connotation of cyclic, circuitous change. It also refers to the theory of rebirth and “cyclicality of all life, matter, existence”, a fundamental assumption of all Indian religions. Samsara is sometimes referred to with terms or phrases such as transmigration, karmic cycle, reincarnation, and “cycle of aimless drifting, wandering or mundane existence”. (Wikipedia, 2017)
Actually, this is the first time I did this type of motion graphic. This motion graphic actually inspires by one of the best directors from Hong Kong, Wong Kar-Wai. I want to make this short motion graphic, every frame per painting. I didn’t apply very complicated effect to this video. Because it’s really short motion graphic and every scene is about 1 sec, if apply too much in effect, the audience will be confused and their eyeballs can’t catch up. 27 Club 2016 Assignment
This is a group assignment which work under 3 persons. We going to create an inforgraphic about 27 club. The idea was to create a motion graphic style that is spooky, giving the idea to people that this might be a real thing and letting them be the judge. The 27 Club is a notional roll of remembrance, celebrating popular musicians who died at the age of twenty-seven. It originated with an unsupported claim of a ‘statistical spike’ for the death of musicians at that age, but this has been repeatedly disproved by research. (Wikipedia, 2017) In this assignment, we decided to explore on print material, we used tracing paper with the setup shown below to record the whole process. Running Out Of Time 1999 2017 Assignment
This is the another assignment that I did. This assignment required me to come out a title sequence which the video length is between 30 second to 1 minute 10 second. So I choose one of the random movie as my theme for the title sequence. After research, I choose an old Hong Kong film which called “Running out of time 1999” as the movie for the title sequence. Running Out of Time (literal title: Hidden War) is a 1999 Hong Kong action thriller film produced and directed by Johnnie To and starring Andy Lau as a cancer-ridden criminal who challenges a police negotiator, played by Lau Ching-wan, to a 72-hour battle of wits and courage. Andy Lau won his first Hong Kong Film Award for Best Actor in 2000 for his performance in the film.The film was followed by a sequel, Running Out of Time 2, which was released in 2001. (Wikipedia, 2017) This is the first time I tried to apply headup display (HUD) as the main theme of this title sequence. It’s was inspired by Ash Thorp, after see how he did for the Assasin Creed project, it truly blows my mind.
A head-up display or heads-up display, also known as a HUD, is any transparent display that presents data without requiring users to look away from their usual viewpoints. The origin of the name stems from a pilot being able to view information with the head positioned “up” and looking forward, instead of angled down looking at lower instruments. This is one of the parts of my final year project for my Diploma. I did a motion comic combine with traditional 2D animation. Because of time-consuming, a lot of backgrounds were actually using photo bashing technique. WWF Pand App D&AD New Blood Awards 2015 Participant Assignment
This is the project I and one of my friends did for D&AD New Blood awards at 2015. At the same time, it also is our assignment. D&AD New Blood awards provides 10+ real world brief to let us select which set by big brands. After reading their brief, we decided to choose WWF’s brief as our brief to do. We going to make an interative concept app design for WWF. WWF Pand App is a make for existing supporter base to become more active and recruitment of new ones to join WWF. This app is you going to be a panda, and after you open your app, your panda will give 30 days life. If the panda dies, you cant open this app anymore. So how do we get “Days”? You can go the event list on the event page and scan the QR code to gain “Days”.

Besides, you also can gain “Days” every time you log in this app per day and refer any friend. So here I want to explain what is the use of “Days”. “Days” is actually something like a point after you got more than 50 days life of your panda, you can use it to exchange some voucher. You also can join as WWF member to get some extra “Days”. So what is the meaning of “Pand”? “Pand” is a Holland’s word which means oath and promise. It’s really good experience in making an interface design for mobile. Even we knew that it’s not perfect, but it’s fun. We have to make the interface looks good but at the same time, we also need to make user experience feel nice.

Glow In KL 2016 Assignment
This is an assignment that I did for my UoS (University of Salford) program. Besides making an app concept design, I also need to design the floor plan for the exhibition. So as mentioned, we going to show the Malaysia’s night light culture in this exhibition. So the exhibition’s booth will be the geodesic type of booth. Interior will be making 5 rooms in the middle of the booth which represent the flower of Malaysia - Hibiscus. Besides that, we also made 3 entry and exit around the booth. Each of the 5 rooms has different theme, which are mamak, sport, nightmart, club, and entertainment. So this is what most of the Malaysian’s nightlife activity. All of this will be designed on the blueprint with the detail. Besides, the geodesic type of booth look will be rendered by using Cinema 4D as a prototype.

Yin SanGo Board Game 2017 Assignment
This is my degree final year project. I want to do something that totally different from what I did during study time. At last, I decided to do a board game which come with a storybook to promote the history of Three Kingdom. Yin Sango is a spy-like table top board game, three forces struggle against each other. Each player will assume a role while the other player will not know your identity. You have to decide who is your league and beat your enemies. Yin Sango is a collaborative game for 4 to 6 players, ages 13 and up. A game can last for 30 min to 1 and half hours. This project is made to solve the problem of childrens or young adult don’t like to study or reading because it’s boring. Board games had been prove by certain article which prove that it’s good for human brain and education uses.
In this project, I really enjoy the development progress because it’s the first time I do game design, and I really learn alot from it like illustration, rule planing, editorial design and many mores.
