Real of our second reign. It has been a challenging 2 years for everyone! We have all experienced unprecedented life changes, we have had to change how we work, how we play and most importantly how we raise money. Sadly, too many of us have lost loved ones to this pandemic. In these unprecedented times, we did not think this evening would be possible so having you all here, in person, fills our heart more than we can express. A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT And we are back! After not having

an in-person Coronation in two-years, I am ecstatic to welcome you to the Night of a Thousand Gowns, LIVE and in person. The past two years have been challenging to say the least. But in the true tradition of The Imperial Court of New York, we persevered and continued to raise money for our community - virtually and in-person. A big shout out to the resilient members of the New York Court whose passion and determination have moved us forward into this new normal as we know it today.

But we hope to bring you the same high-quality entertainment and a memorable evening with all the glitz and glamour we are known for. A LETTER FROM THE QUEEN MOTHER OF THE AMERICAS CANADA - UNITED STATES - MEXICO One of my greatest honors was being asked to crown your first monarchs, Emperor George I and Empress Sybil Bruncheon, 35 years ago at the historic Waldorf Astoria hotel. I have witnessed for over three decades the Imperial Court of New York becoming one of the most celebrated and esteemed courts in our International Imperial Court System. And now my ImQueen Mother of the Americas perial daughter, the Queen Nicole The Great Mother II of New York Photo by Ron Fink Empress Coco LaChine, is my heir and successor that I will have the honor of crowning as the Queen Mother II of the Americas. Indeed, I have made many lifetime personal royal family members and friends such as Tony, Sugar, Tree, Henry, Jack, Panzi, Madelyn, Razor, Gefil and so many more. I am grateful for the many nobles of New York, who played important roles in the International Court Council’s successful campaign, and my vision to create a National LGBTQ Wall of Honor, which is now permanently housed in the historic Stonewall Inn. THIS EVENING’S BENEFICIARY BAILEY HOUSE/HOUSING WORLS Every year, The Imperial Court of New York chooses one or more beneficiaries for our gala event. This year, the 36th Annual Night of a Thousand Gowns benefits Bailey House/Housing Works and CitiLeaf Housing.

Bailey House is a com-

munity-based organization providing housing and essential supportive services to individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses. For nearly 40 years, Bailey House has been working to improve the health, housing, and independent living outcomes for people struggling with homelessness, substance use, mental illness, and the health challenges that accompany chronic illnesses. Bailey House was founded in 1983 when a coalition of compassionate community leaders responded to the AIDS crisis by launching an innovative housing program combining apartments with healthcare and supportive services for those who had no place to go, becoming the first organization in the country to provide supportive housing for homeless people with HIV/AIDS. Our mission is to help transform the lives of people with or at risk of HIV/AIDS and other chronic illnesses through housing, health services, and community support. In January 2019, Bailey House merged with Housing Works, the nation’s leading HIV/AIDS advocacy and service organization. Together, Housing Works and Bailey House represent one of the largest providers of HIV/AIDS housing, primary care, and comprehensive services in New York City, with Bailey House overseeing all housing and housing development initiatives of the combined agency.

CitiLeaf Housing is in the Flatiron district, and the Chelsea

district of Manhattan. We provide supportive housing for single men and women living with AIDS who were formerly homeless. We are a permanent home to the city’s most vulnerable people. A major goal for our supportive housing programs is the ability to ensure housing stability for individuals with multiple, chronic, complex needs that are challenging to serve in other housing. Structured as a tenancy, where residents pay rent and have the same rights and responsibilities of anyone renting housing. Residency in supportive housing is not contingent on tenants meeting certain behavioral requirements for access to housing. Studies have shown that this investment pays off. Supportive housing offers better outcomes and costs less than the care provided through institutional settings that those experiencing chronic homelessness typically use: prisons, nursing homes, psychiatric care, and inpatient hospitalization. Instead of a life on the streets, in and out of shelters, hospitals and prisons, permanent supportive housing offers a stable home and a chance to rebuild a life that includes family, friends, and community. Home to every CitiLeaf Housing resident is a studio apartment. CitiLeaf Housing offers life-enhancing services such as access to social work, healthcare, free meals, and community trips and activities. An affordable home, with support services ranging from counseling to life skills to transportation, depending on a resident’s individual needs – is a proven solution to ending long-term homelessness. A reconnection to life and others who care is priceless.

Diana, Princess of Wales on Broadway. She has also appeared on Broadway as Lauren in Kinky Boots and as Heather in American Idiot. For A.R.T. de Waal originated the role of Dawn in Waitress by Sara Bareilles and the role of Mary Barrie in Finding Neverland. Off Broadway, de Waal played Chris Hargensen in MCC Theatre’s reimagined production of Broadway’s Carrie, and is featured on the Carrie cast album released by Sh-K-Boom and Ghostlight Records. de Waal made her West End debut in the Queen musical We Will Rock You. Other notable credits include Glinda in the National Tour of Wicked and Janet in The Rocky Horror Show at The Old Globe. de Waal can be seen in the recurring role of Sophia in the Netflix/Marvel series Iron Fist. She was also a guest star on The Jim Gaffigan Show for TV Land. De Waal is the founder of Broadway Weekends, the first theater camp for adults led by Broadway performers. de Waal trained at the Arts Educational School, Tring Park and has a B.A. (Hons) degree from the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts.

DENISE WEEKS Denise is a phenomenon in her own right, her

talents have been showcased at the world famous Apollo Theatre, and she has performed in an array of theatre productions and Television. Known for a tear jerking performance on Season 3 of X-Factor Usa where she delivers a heartfelt rendition of “The Greatest Love of All” and receives a standing ovation. Acting and singing has always been her passion. She loves the feeling of being on stage , making a difference in the world through her voice and actions while entertaining the masses . Denise is mostly known for her dedication and undeniable love for her community of New York City. She is a Subway Performer/Street Performer she performs in New York City’s Times Square and Herald Square where she is loved by so many commuters, tourists and all mankind .. Most would say listening to her just pulls you in, she is so Bold and fearless. She’s just simply a blessing to this world …always uplifting others through her heartwarming selection of cover tunes that she sings from the heart .
