WEDDING VENUES The Riviera boasts more than 40,000 square feet of flexible space, including the historic Grand Ballroom El Dorado and Royal Ballrooms, as well as 24 lushly landscaped acres of outdoor courtyards, gardens and poolside terraces with scenic views of the San Jacinto Mountains. The Riviera offers a variety of wedding packages including garden and poolside ceremonies, ballroom receptions, rehearsal dinners, bridal lunches and spa experiences, groomsmen golf outings and farewell brunches. Couples are assisted in all facets of wedding planning with The Riviera’s on-staff wedding specialists and catering team.

YOUR RIVIERA CATERING MANAGER WILL: • Provide personal tours of the Resort grounds and facilities. • Execute all contractual agreements between you and the Resort. • Act as your primary Resort contact, available to answer all of your questions and communicate with other departments as necessary. • Provide you with an outline of your financial commitments and pre-payment schedule. • Prepare detailed Banquet Event Orders outlining your entire event for your approval. • Create a floor plan of your function space in order for you to make specific seating arrangements. • Act as a menu consultant for all food and beverage selections. • Review your banquet checks for accuracy prior to and following the completion of your deposits and final billing. • Recommend special event professionals to provide music, floral, photography, wedding coordination, ceremony officiates, etc.

YOUR RIVIERA EVENT BANQUET CAPTAIN/MANAGER WILL: • Be introduced to you either during a visit to the Resort, at a menu tasting or during your reception. • Oversee the entire event from set up to execution. • Check with the bridal party, wedding coordinator and guests during event to assure satisfaction. • Act as supervisor of the timing of events, delivery of food, confirmation of final guest count, and final billing. • Assist in arranging bell stand for delivery of wedding items to vehicles and guest rooms • Review the final bill at conclusion of the event.

WE RECOMMEND HIRING A PROFESSIONAL WEDDING COORDINATOR THAT WILL: • Assist with the proper etiquette and protocol for invitations, family matters, ceremonies and toasts. • Create a timeline for your entire wedding day, including the ceremony, reception and other wedding related events. • Order, deliver and arrange ceremony programs, place cards, centerpieces, favors and any personal items. • Assist the bride and bridal party with dressing. • Collect and/or store personal items you may have brought with you until the conclusion of the day’s events. • Ensure that the bridal party has their bouquets, corsages and boutonnieres. • Be the liaison between your family, the bridal party, band/DJ, florist, photographer and other vendors. • Coordinate the processional with the bride and bridal party. • Work with the bridal party to organize, coordinate and supervise the wedding rehearsal. • Provide bridal party and family members of all pertinent schedules for wedding related events. • Be responsible for all personal items, such as cake knife, wine and champagne glasses and gifts, in advance of, during and after the event.


VALET PARKING

Reduced Rate of $6 for event parking. Overnight rates for resort overnight guests are $20 overnight (with in/out privileges). Valet parking can be hosted – discuss with your Catering Manager.

SERVICE CHARGE

23% on all food and beverage and associated services (subject to change).

TAXES

California state and local sales taxes are applicable on all food, beverage, service charge, banquet room rentals, resort fee, etc. These taxes are prevailing and subject to change at any time.

RESORT FEE

$28 per room per night, subject to current sales tax.

SMOKING POLICY

All of our indoor facilities are smoke free. Smoking is available outside only. The Resort will enforce compliance with this policy.

INDEMNIFICATION

Host agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Resort, its officers, employees, agents and other affiliated entities against all claims, losses, damages and expenses arising from the event, resort employees, subcontractors and guests while using the Resort’s premises.

CONTINGENCY

You agree to be responsible for any damages; breakage, burns or theft that occurs during the period your event is held at the resort. This contingency also covers all actions of any photographers, florists, decorators or entertainers hired by you for this event. Musical equipment, decorations, centerpieces or any other items brought into the resort must be pre-approved and removed immediately after the event. Candles must meet Riverside County Fire Department codes. The Resort will not be responsible for any items left after the event.

UPGRADES AVAILABLE

The Resort encourages ceremony and reception customization and upgrades.


FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE

The Riviera Palm Springs shall provide all food (with the exception of professionally baked wedding cakes) and beverages served at the Resort. Insurance and health regulations do not allow food prepared at the Resort to be removed. Prices are subject to change without notice. Guaranteed prices will not be given more than ninety (90) days prior to any event date.

EVENT INCLUSIONS

The Riviera Palm Springs is pleased to offer the following complimentary items when purchasing a catered wedding event: One-hour rehearsal prior to wedding event, based on availability. Champagne/sparkling cider toast for all guests at reception. Cake cutting and serving of client’s cake after the ceremonial cut has been made. Black Dance floor (available in three-foot square sections) sized according to number of guests. First and second course menu tasting, based on availability. This is typically held Monday through Thursday between 1pm and 3pm.

GUARANTEED NUMBER OF GUESTS

Thirty (30) days prior to the wedding event, an estimated final count is due. Following this information your catering manager will prepare the final documents (banquet event order/ BEO – and banquet check/invoice and diagrams) for your signature approval. Guest count must be received by the Resort fourteen (14) calendar days before the event with final payment of all estimated charges payable via credit card, cash, check or cashier’s check. This number will be your guarantee and is not subject to reduction. Should the number of guests exceed the guarantee amount; the resort will make all reasonable attempts to accommodate such persons, up to an additional three percent (3%). You will be charged for the number of meals served, or the number of meals guar-anteed, whichever is greater. The final guarantee of any additional guests must be received by your catering manager 72 business hours prior to the event. Any additional charges and day of charges will be paid via credit card (required to be on file).

EVENT TIMES

The ceremony site fee is covers use for one (1) hour. Reception events are scheduled for five (5) hours and to be concluded by 12:00am. Any additional time other than that agreed upon on the function sheet shall be approved by a Resort manager and charged to the credit card on file at the rate of $500 per half-hour or any portion thereof. Outdoor events must end no later than 10pm.

BEVERAGE SERVICE

The Resort reserves the right to refuse service of alcohol to any individual who exhibits any of the symptoms indicating possible intoxication or is under the legal age of twenty-one (21). Intoxicated guests and/or those demonstrating an inebriated or hostile behavior will be escorted off property. A last call for beverage service will be given 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time for the event to end. Person hosting the event agrees to the Resort’s count of beverages served at a hosted or on-consumption bar.

DEPOSIT & PAYMENT

A twenty five percent (25%) non - refundable deposit of estimated food and beverage charges are required at time of signing. A payment schedule will be further outlined in your Catering Agreement. The balance of the estimated charges is to be paid fourteen (14) calendar days before the actual event. A credit card number is required to be on file to bill any additional charges that are incurred for final guest count and day-of-event charges.
