TETON

VIEW QUARTER 3

There is a chill in the air and it must be winter! We may be jumping the gun but snow in November usually sticks. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is already recording snowfall and we are sitting at 48 inches so far. We will take this as a sign of a great winter to come!

Looking back, Q3 was a great quarter. Nothing will really compare to the summer of 2017 and the Solar Eclipse but we will always strive to hit those numbers. We hit our budgeted numbers and overall, revenue was up 5% year over year. We saw some interesting shifts in occupancy in both Teton Village and Jackson this summer and we made the appropriate changes to make sure that we stayed ahead of the pack. In all, we are happy with our performance in Q3 and we hope you noticed it in your revenue.

We are seeing great pace for the winter already. As most of you know, Q4 is really all about the last 7 days of the month. We are seeing a shift in reservations compared to last year. The holiday breaks start later than usual and reservations are extending into January. We are focusing on getting guests here before then, so we can end the year very strong.

We are already booking into March and winter seems to be pacing very well. We hope that between our marketing campaigns and the resorts, we will see record numbers. The resort gets to show off their newest achievement, the Solitude mid-station. Boasting 12,000 square feet of state of the art dining facilities, on mountain sports school and on mountain rental; it will no doubt be a huge hit for locals and visitors.

I know I didn’t given anyone a chance to pick if they wanted the good news or bad news first. I thought starting with high notes would soften the blow of this next piece of news. As I am writing this, I am trying to pretend it’s not happening but I must face reality soon. Anne Jones has let us know that she will be departing our team roughly around December 1st. Many of you know that Anne works both full time for Rob DesLauriers and part time for TML and Terra. It is no small feat to work a full time job and a part time job, while also being a mom to two young boys. Anne decided that she is going to focus solely on real estate and development with Rob. She will slowly phase out of her role here but told me that she will always be available. I will definitely hold her to that! I am currently on the search for her replacement and I can only hope that I find someone as amazing as she is. Anne will still be around the resort and of course out skiing, so you will still get to see her! Please help me wish her the best, she will be greatly missed! I would highly recommend getting your winter dates on the books if you have not done so already. And don’t forget the annual owner’s meeting is set for January 29th! Anne + Corie
