Klangraum Krems Minoritenkirche „Dissected world. Life in the City and in the Countryside“
Vibrant centre, dying periphery? The divide between city and countryside is causing major conflicts. The optimistic elite in the city faces a rural population that is struggling with the economic and cultural changes of our time. Is the current political development in many countries primarily the result of this divide? Are we living in a divided world?
The European Literature Days 2024 will present international writers, philosophers, sociologists and artists who talk about life in the city and in the countryside - about conurbations and remote areas, smart cities and village communities, locals and newcomers. Under the motto Dissected world. Life in the City and in the Countryside, talks and readings will be held with Christoph Peters, Lisz Hirn, Rowan Moore, Joanna Bator, Nikolaj Schultz, Laurent Mauvignier and Alina Herbing, among others.
The European Literature Days will take place from 7 to 10 November 2024. Please save the date. You will receive further information in the course of the summer.
