PARCELLE 100, CRONAY - Renovation of a small barn (Château 3) - Design and construction in collaboration with A. Gilliand Completed 2015 - Renovation of a house from the 20’s (Château 5) - Design and construction in collaboration with A. Gilliand On going Cronay is a little village keeping a strong rural identity. The two building’s renovation preserves their original volume and expression in the outside, whereas the inner typology is integrally modified to achieve the present expectations. The barn had previously a fireplace and one room as leaving space, a stable and a shed completed the rectangular shaped volume. The new program overlap kitchen and leaving room as two generous main spaces, opened on a large hall while bedrooms, bathrooms and technical spaces lean against the slope of the field. The second house was composed by a narrow and partitioned apartment on each floor. The stairwell remains and defines a central span that distributes the different spaces on both sides. This emphasizes the symmetry of the existing windows and overall composition of the building.

CARANTEC, GRAND-SACONNEX Competition in collaboration with M. Festal, A. Gilliand, J. Magnin 2016 The project takes place at a strategic junction between the remaining village scale and the new urban qualification of the expending agglomeration nearby Geneva’s airport. The brief includes housing, proximity services, workshops, municipal facilities, in a private-public partnership as well as a large public space for the weekly market and other events. Construction must be done in distinct phases in order to relocate inhabitants from the demolished houses. The proposition was to stay on the sloppy side back from the busy traffic road and build a new front with arcades facing the place. On the other side, the existing tree line is continued as a filter and boundary marker. Behind this urban facade, the assembled bloc’s morphology creates three opened spaces on the neighbourhood scale. In the centre, a taller building host specific typologies such as clusters aimed initially for students and elderly people, where as conventional 2-5 rooms apartments are placed in the others blocs. Lower floors remain non residential.

EHVN - PERMANENCE MEDICALE, COSSONAY Design breif conception, planification and project monitoring 2015 - 17 This project addresses the lack of basic heath-care facilities located outside central areas, in order to prevent people to overcharge hospital for minor injuries. The small town of Cossonay is planning a vast residential neighbourhood and this farm is situated at a strategic crossroad between the old village centre and the developing zone. The existing building was thus transformed to provide a local health-centre. The hospital manages the upper floor as a small medical emergency unit with consultation and exam rooms as well as radiology and laboratory equipment. Each element is organised around the central desk that continually interact with the patients and doctors. For now, the other floors are rented for independent paramedical activities. The lower floor as been adapted for physiotherapists and the attic floor is an osteopath’s practice. The idea is for everyone to be complementary and assure a good patient care and follow-up, as well as dialogue between professionals.

EHVN - SITE D’YVERDON Reflexions and space reorganisation in the departments of surgery, orhtopedics and general medecine 2018 The hospital was built on a new site at the end of the 80’s. Its square plan is organised around a inner courtyard. This specific feature cannot expend itself and several adds-on have been plugged little by little to fulfil the expectations of evolving healthcare. On the 2nd floor, a layer of technical rooms (pharmacies, medical supply stock, pantry, sluice, offices) differentiates the circulation around the yard and inside services, while the patient’s rooms are looking on the outside. Even if the initial spacial idea is rather clear, users often had to tinker to adapt over the years. Due to the recurrent lack of space and the changing practices, the main task was to have transversal reflections and find out how to address to each service an ergonomic and functional environment that is also coherent on a larger scale. Differentiate old habits from real needs. Understand resistances and benefits in mutualising space and equipment. And above all, find the slight space of action between standardisation of processes, compliance with security and hygiene standards.
