WE'RE trying to make a DIFFERENCE

We've partnered with GrowGood , a Los Angeles urban farm, to host employee volunteer events to feed homeless residents of our community and provide them with opportunities to get back on their feet. Our teams have planted vegetables, harvested crops, removed weeds from gardens, and learned about the ways that healthy food and gardening can act as catalysts for healing.

This book was printed on carbon-balanced paper with the help of World Land Trust. They protect Earth's most threatened biologically significant habitats by restoring and guarding carbon-rich wildlife in the tropics. To date, we've helped offset nearly four and a half million pounds of carbon dioxide by paying to protect over 130 acres of endangered rainfrorest. This is a commitment we plan to continue growing annually.

We donate a portion of each order to the National Park Foundation™ , an organization committed to the preservation of historical sites that tell the story of our nation. They protect threatened species and habitats and guarantee the upkeep of beloved natural sites for future generations. The NPF ensures as many people as possible can access our country's parks in order to build personal connections with our shared national heritage. Our parks don't represent America's past–they're an inspiration for our country's future.

Since 2022, we've partnered with CleanHub to prevent and recover 30,000 pounds of plastic (approximately 1,500,000 water bottles) from entering our oceans.

THE PERFECT SUMMER SALAD

Imagine this as the base recipe upon which every great salad is built. Feel free to customize it by adding your favorite ingredients, and other vegetables and toppings that you enjoy. Some of my favorites include apples, goat cheese, radishes, bell peppers, toasted nuts, and seeds.

Arugula with Avocado and Cucumber Salad

Think garden fresh ingredients and summertime happiness all in one bowl! I love this quick and easy salad. It's a quick and easy option for lunch or a quick dinner. This salad is super simple but it's packed with so much flavor. It makes a light and healthy meal. This is a recipe you won't want to forget.

What you need

– 2 cups arugula

– 1 ripe avocado, diced

1 cucumber, sliced

1/4 cup cherry tomatoes, halved

2 tablespoons red onion, thinly sliced

2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

– 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

– Salt and pepper to taste

– Optional: 1 tablespoon chopped fresh herbs (such as basil, cilantro, or parsley)

Directions

– Begin by washing and drying the arugula and cherry tomatoes.

– Slice the cucumber and red onion thinly.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the arugula, diced avocado, sliced cucumber, halved cherry tomatoes, and thinly sliced red onion.

– In a small bowl, whisk together the fresh lemon juice and extra virgin olive oil to make the dressing. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

– Pour the dressing over the salad ingredients in the large mixing bowl. Gently toss the salad until all ingredients are evenly coated with dressing.

– Taste the salad and adjust seasoning if necessary. If desired, sprinkle chopped fresh herbs over the top for added flavor.

– Transfer the salad to a white serving dish or individual plates for presentation.

– Serve immediately and enjoy your healthy plant-based green salad!
