The first encounter to a global audience of the brand new Steeler design with her patented steep bow and pronounced tumble home stern. How would she be received was the big question for all at Steeler Yachts...

2017... the year of the S-line! STEELER NG59 S-line

our shipyard and now the boats under construction are near completion we are proud to see that each boat exceeds the expectations. Our aim to retain a 100% customer satisfaction rate remains on target ! It is the innovative concept of S-line models that made our clients decide to create the yacht of their dreams based on this concept. The “S” stands for Seaworthiness, Safety, Space, Stability, (comfort) Solutions, the absence of Spray and last but probably first.. Style. At Steeler Yachts, we see the S-line series as a fusion of our development themes over the last years. Our focus started with creating space, light and large single level living areas in the revolutionary Panorama FF. One year later we introduced efficient planing with our aluminium Steelers and last year we concentrated on developing of what we call ‘comfort solutions’ : how to make live on board more comfortable and versatile under any weather conditions, at any speed and for all passenger no matter age or mobility.

Not even one year later, there is a loud and clear answer : 17 boats have been sold of which 4 have already been delivered and 13 S-lines are under construction now. The international breakthrough for Steeler is a fact. S-lines will not only sail our home markets in Central Europe, but will also go to the offshore markets where the S-line has been specifically designed for like the Mediterranean and Scandinavia. The S-line models are made in steel or aluminium and varying in size from 36 to 65 feet. What makes us proud at Steeler is that the S-lines under construction are a mix of sizes and building material, based on only one single reference point : the impressive NG57 S at the Boot Show in Dusseldorf. A welcome challenge for our development team and we are on course to transform the NG65 S-line into a stylish semi-raised pilothouse with flybridge. Third, the high spray eliminates the sound of waves against it at night, allowing you to dream more sweetly. With Steeler Yachts having made the most of all technological advancements to achieve the perfect balance of design and comfort, there is hardly a detail that will be missed. “The clear and transparent quality process gives customers insight in how exactly their boat is built and our Steeler Building Process describes exactly how the building is staged and at what time what decisions from our customers are required,” said Webbink. “We think that combination resulted in very close to 100 percent happy customers.”

In 2016 there were two models in the S-line, and by 2018, there will be nine. All models are available in steel or aluminum, but there are different versions as well. There are Flybridge versions, some versions that have a vertical lifting wheelhouse roof to create a cabrio feeling, and there is also the FlyFish, which is tuned to become a sports fishing boat. It’s all about preference, and between all the options these nine models offer, you’re sure to get a boat that fits your fancy. On the website, it states: “No matter which model you prefer, all of them are built with the same ambition to transform your demanding wishes into your individualized yacht with surpassed quality. This is not a promise; this is how we work.” These boats are mainly sold in Europe, from the northern countries of Scandinavia, down to the southernmost countries of the Mediterranean. The first boat ever to be sold to the U.S. was recently delivered with plans to expand into the Great Lakes market very soon. “We are very hopeful this will not be the last!” cheered Webbink. Q
