Are you at least 15 ½ years old? Do you want to work and make some money during the summer? Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life? If yes, then follow these easy steps to becoming a lifeguard! 1) Sign up for a Lifeguard Certification Course 2) Sign up for a Water Safety Instructor Course MUST be at least 16 years old. WSI not required to become a lifeguard but will allow you to teach swim lessons. Highly recommended to take. 3) Submit a job application to the NOR District Office, 405 Galaxy Ave. Applications can be found at www.norfun.org or at one of our offices. 4) Show up to all classes, and successfully complete them. 5) Start early! This process can start as early as February!

Students in this class should have previous experience in Mexican Folk dance to take this class. This class focuses in different regions of all the states in Mexico, as well as make up and costumes since one of the goals is public performance. This is optional.

In this class the children will be introduced to very simple dance steps and to the fun of folklorico dance. The students will learn easy choreographic patterns (age appropriate). Call 392-2010 right away if you plan to have a team. $150 per team (Checks payable to “NOR”) Lower Division: 5th & 6th Graders (In September 2013) Upper Division: 7th & 8th Graders (In September 2013) Practice: One day a week starting March 4, 2013 Game Days: April 6, 13, & 20 You will play a round robin tournament each day. Location: Polo Community Park (11801 Noriega Rd.) Equipment: Players must wear the same color shirts. You can use your football jerseys from last year or purchase t-shirts. Let NOR staff know what color shirts you would like to use. Numbers are not necessary. No helmets or shoulder pads. Players are permitted to wear standard football cleats with plastic/rubber spikes – no metal. Special passing league helmets are available for purchase at sporting goods stores.
