Performing Arts Troupe to promote a drug & alcohol free community

Classes: Held at the NOR veterans Hall (400 Norris Rd.) September 8, 15, 22, 29 & October 6, 13 Thursdays 6:00 - 8:00 pm Performances: (Held at local schools) week of October 17th & 24th (Monday - Friday) during school hours

Children learn stage directions, stage movements, songs and choreography all while having fun and making new friends. This program moves through the rehearsal process to a full stage production offering three public performances. No experience is necessary.

Kokondo Karate is a traditional style of karate that emphasizes strikes, blocks, kicking and prearranged drills called Kata. Kokondo offers a fun environment for the entire family to learn self-defense and gain awareness of the world around them. Jukido Jujitsu defends from attacks while using joint locks, chokes, and throws. Jukido takes advantage of the attacker’s strength and uses it against him.

This class is for children ages 6-10 years old. This class is designed for children that want to learn tumbling techniques. Tumbling Level Two:

This class is for ages 8-12 years old. This level is a continuation of more advance skills learned from level one. Students must take Tumbling Level One to continue to level two. You must have previous experience in Mexican Folk Dance to take this class. This class focuses on advance techniques of zapateado. Repertories from different geographic areas of Mexico are taught and choreographed. Students learn the fine points of public performance from dance techniques to make up to costuming.

This class introduces the students to basic techniques of specific dances of Mexico. The class is dedicated to warm-up with repetition of steps broken into their most elemental components. The middle of the class is dedicated to putting the steps to music. The last part of the class is dedicated to choreograph the dance that is being taught to review what has been learned in previous classes.

RIVERVIEW PARK DISC GOLF COURSE Your kids will learn their way around a kitchen during this two hour cooking class for kids ages 6 to 12. Students will create a yummy dish to take home and share with the whole family. Limited to the first 12 students to preregister for each one day class.

5/28, 6/15, 7/13, 8/17, 9/24 Techniques and Equipment A hands-on adventure in rock climbing. You learn tying knots, climbing commands and signals. Each week you climb in Riverview’s own specialized climbing gym, featuring 16 foot walls with overhangs, cracks, pockets, edges, pinches, underclings, and slopers.

Monday - Thursday Get your child ready for kindergarten!! Our 4 & 5 Class is structured toward kindergarten readiness. Age appropriate activities will further enhance children’s educational development. Group activities will help children to expand their social skills and increase their attention span.
