01 YEAR 3 / FINAL YEAR DEGREE SEM 2, 2016/2017 TUTOR : RAIHAN MASKURIY + AR. SARIZAL YUSMAN + DR. WAN SRIHANI PROJECT TITLE : SAVOUR ; CUISINE HUB “ECO SUNNAH FOOD HUB” LOCATION : JALAN PUTRA, KUALA LUMPUR DURATION : 14 WEEKS (INDIVIDUAL)
Food is very important in tourism industry. Promoting food is one of the great ways of promoting a city. If clean drinking water and public sanitation were the main obstacles to social progress in the 19th-century city, a healthy diet and access to fresh food for all promises to be one of the hottest issues for the 21st century. The project is also part of this movement for better lunches, and set up a charity to bring trained cooks into hub. Fresh dinners are being advocated as a means not only of educating public about food, but also providing inner-city public with vital nutrients that are otherwise missing from their diets, with many of today’s most deprived people simultaneously malnourished and obese especially in Malaysia which is the highest obesity in Asia. This is a haunting spectre of a society in which priorities have somehow been insidiously switched, as the food industry that aggressively markets junk food to public. By actively working on the spatial dimension of food it can vitalize the city and create the places for people and one of their first needs in life. Encouraged to look into the rebranding and new concept of promotion, food preparation, serving and eating culture, with a probability of having a vertical eatery space apart from creating condusive public meeting space at the same time, space of eco-food hub thru Sunnah as the approaching concept which helped to solve eating culture and pollution issues in city. The spatial translation of these processes generate new typologies for the city, buildings or landscape.

03 YEAR 3 / FINAL YEAR DEGREE SEM 2, 2015/2016 TUTOR : AR. ZAMRI PROJECT TITLE : MADRASA : A CONCEPTUAL STUDY (REMEMBRANCE IN SPACE) DURATION : 3 WEEKS (GROUP OF 2)
A Conceptual Study of Madrasa. Based on the topics studied, to develop a concept and design enticing spaces of a madrasa. The madrasa shall hold a capacity of 100-150 pax, which will be the main space of the whole building complex in next project of Islamic Training Centre. The design output remains at conceptual level and stresses on spatial study. Enticing Spaces in reference to Islamic teaching covers a wide aspect of life and environment, whether in geography, climate, culture, socio-economy, sustainablity, technology, construction, materials, maintenance, physical form, etc. All these are able to inculcate Islamic values indirectly to the public by exploring on topic of remembrance in space. REMEMBRANCE IN SPACE. In the creation of the heaven and the earth there are signs of the Creator and the Sustainer. Constant reminder of the Creator should be omnipresent in space whether you are standing, sitting or lying down. Those are the people who are thinkers, knowledgeable and wise. People who understand the very purpose of life and living beneficially towards the Creator, himself and others in all spaces and at all times. The creator of spaces should incorporatecharacteristics of space that evoke the Remembrance or Zikr.

Back lane or alley is often associated with annoying, disgusting, narrow and dark condition. It is the street between row of houses which are commonly under-appreciated by residents and community. This project is proposed to counter image of current back lane to a future back lane which are more friendly, environmentally safe and cater community to a unity. A waste of back lane is basically happened because of the designated layout of the residential area itself usually neglected the back-lane area make it become a place of crime, food dump and somehow a storage place. in urban area, green place is necessary in order to cool down the environment. Eventually this important matter ceaselessly being neglected in matter of maximising space. To provide a green space for communityis craved by everyone. For a child to grow up in good community, community space should be provided. Crime also associated with a bad image of place. Dark alley increase tendency of snatching, robbery, rape and kidnapping. The intention that raise from this project is to increase awareness and catalyse re-thinking in the area of lost space; back lane. The concept used is ‘Integration Through the Unsung Space’. Unsung space is pointing to the back-lane space. Where the back-lane space is actually required because of important function for services and also ventilation and lighting to an interior space. Issue from falling community brings this concept together where in this matter of turning a dirty, dark alley into welcoming area, it also brings together community into unity. There are 4 type of layout designated that can be used in any type of housing. These 4 different types allow a person to enjoy back lane area in a fresh environment where the back lane is designed with water feature and landscape to refresh the urban air. A connected back lane layout make the neighbourhood can easily reach each other. In the old days, Malay culture used to give some small gift to their neighbour through back lane of their house. So, by designing a connected layout can brings up the old culture to be preserved. By using Revit software in this project, its allow us to design a flexible area with fascinating and realistic materials. Revit also make easy of rendering and building up 3d model. It also can save time. Using generic model tools and curtain wall tools save time for the wall framing. Revit also provide a manufacturing dimension which make the construction easier.

This competition is to seek innovative approaches that help vurb the outbreak of communicable disease epidemics, increase people’s awareness of global impacts of ongoing or potential public health threats, and to encourage more students to be interested and engaged in health-related design by identifying a type of communicable disease that is potentially a public health concern in country, so thru this project my group focused on Leptospirosis. To develop a mobile unit that can facilitate the swift diagnosis, isolation and treatment of patients with Ebola and other communicable diseases, and safety transport infected patients to facilities that are able to provide appropriate care. Mobile Treatment Unit on treating disease epidemics as the amount of patient is important. The hovercraft are used as the main transport to treat patient in every area especially during flooded season. The unit can be expanded and arranged near to each other depending on the requirement.
