CREATIVE DIRECTOR: I’m excited to share Banyan Batiks April 2021 Release with you! As always, I
incorporate some fun and innovative techniques within each collection, little treasures for my fellow batik lovers.
First up is my Guest Designer’s collection, Rose Parade. Pat Fryer from Villa Rosa Designs
collection.

To showcase this collection, check out Pat’s popular Solar Flare pattern. The quilt
top sample is meticulously made so you can get your shop sample right when your bolts of batiks arrive! Or add one of
the two delicate scroll border designs to enlarge it and, of course, kit it up!
Next up… Ride On III is back in two
colors, a high contrast wine and teal
colorway softened with grays and creams,
and earthy tones of goldenrod, chestnut, moss and sage. With visual supports such as video & photos, you’re always welcome
to use the Resource Center on our website. Fat quarter bundles are available as well. 3
We’re all so anxious to get out and dream about places we’d like to visit. That’s
the reason I created the Destination collections. This time, we’re heading to Ireland and the Himalayas. With such
yummy color palettes, of course I’ve selected this collection to feature fat quarter bundles.
Flutter is all about the movement of color
and design, from one design to the next. I love the play of color against a richly
saturated gray. Two different palettes are
featured in each of the fat quarter bundles, plus mini strip packs.
I am so proud of the colorations and techniques we’re able to achieve with our
team in Indonesia. Check out Kaleidoscope for its interesting color application, Ink Blot
II for its bursts of color, the fun, IT inspired Decode This! collection or Bouncing Balls with artwork to reference circus balls.
Look for five more colorations of our
Soft Touch Rayons, featuring the hugely popular Lustre design, an innovative large
floral and, of course, that fun panel design
ideal for a wrap skirt or wide legged flowy
pants. The original colorations from the
previous release can be reordered along with these new additions, so go ahead and make up those samples with the confidence you will be able to order more!

Meet the Designer: Scott Flanagan
Scott’s quilting journey began at the age of 7, sewing alongside his Grandmother, and spans more than 20 years. With a passion for creating, Scott started his own pattern design company in 2011 – ‘4th & Main Designs’ – and spends much of his free time designing quilt patterns for various quilting magazines.
