Welcome Welcome to Baker City’s Miners Jubilee! Since revitalized in 1982, Miners Jubilee has been Baker City’s signature summer event, drawing families, classmates and former residents back during the third weekend in July every year to celebrate Baker County’s heritage and community. When the Chamber of Commerce announced that it would no longer organize the event after the 2013 Jubilee, a group of business and community volunteers stepped up to the plate to take on organization and sponsorship of Miners Jubilee. The Baker City Herald led the effort by organizing meetings and taking on the vendors in Geiser Pollman Park, but the work done on Jubilee was truly a community collaboration. Enjoy the weekend, and if you get a chance, say thank you to the volunteers! Kari Borgen, Publisher Baker City Herald
