Tired of Hiding Your Smile?
with a Permanent Solution!
If you’ve been hiding your smile due to missing or painful teeth, or struggling with uncomfortable dentures, you’re not alone. Many face the daily challenge of dental issues affecting their confidence and quality of life.
Fortunately, there’s a lasting solution: full-mouth dental implants. At Michiana Dental Implants, we specialize in this life-changing treatment, offering a permanent solution that lets you smile, eat, and speak with confidence.
Break Free from Dental Frustration
The cycle of dental frustration often begins with tooth failure, leading to discomfort. As teeth deteriorate, it results in a loss of function, making it difficult to eat or speak confidently. For many, this leads to relying on temporary fixes like ill-fitting dentures, which can cause irritation and further frustration. The constant need for costly procedures only adds to the burden, leaving patients feeling trapped.
Barbara
At Michiana Dental Implants, we offer a permanent solution to break this cycle, restoring comfort, function, and confidence with full-mouth dental implants.
Discover the Permanent Relief of Full-Mouth Dental Implants
At Michiana Dental Implants, we understand the impact that dental problems can have on your life. That’s why we’re dedicated to providing a permanent, effective solution with our full-mouth dental implants. This advanced treatment offers a secure, long-lasting alternative to dentures that feels and functions just like your natural teeth.
Using Hybridge Implant solutions provides a stable, comfortable foundation for your new smile. Unlike dentures, which sit on top of your gums, dental implants are anchored directly into your jawbone. This not only ensures that your teeth stay securely in place but also helps maintain the health of your jawbone, preventing the bone loss that can occur with missing teeth.
Why
Choose Michiana Dental Implants?
Choosing full-mouth dental implants at Michiana Dental Implants means choosing a path to a healthier, more confident smile. Dr. Mader and his experienced team are experts in implant dentistry, with a proven track record of delivering exceptional results.

Trip To Pennsylvania Yields Pleasant Memories the epiphany
“Those crazy guys are playing football with a stick!”
Yup, Alberto is getting to know us. He is an Italian boy of about 10 years who joined us outside the front gate of Mount Vernon to play an impromptu game of touch football. The Italians and the Amish play nicely together at the home of the father of our country. George Washington would have been pleased.
Our group of 20 Amish young folks has just made the short drive from a hotel in Oxon, Md., to Mount Vernon, George Washington’s plantation.
Bill and Sandi Miller are driving the two vans we are traveling in and are excellent tour guides. We have learned much history on this tour which has included Lancaster County, PA, Gettysburg and Washington, D.C. The 20 of us include Eunice Bontrager, Mary Eash, the Hershberger sisters, Sharon and Clara, my friends, Ivan Miller, Richard Miller and Omer Hershberger, Rhonda Hochstetler, the Lehman cousins, Neomah and Esther, Calvin Miller, Daniel Miller, Devon Miller, Erma Miller, Steven Miller, Loretta Schlabach, Lonnie Schwartz, Joel Yoder, my sister, Emily, and yours truly.
With this bunch, there’s seldom a dull moment and now is no exception. We arrived at Mount Vernon before the gates opened this morning and rather than stand around and wait, we lit into the football game like a pack of dogs on a threelegged cat.
Our lack of a proper football does not deter us very long. We find an eight-inch stick that is somewhat throwable, quickly make teams and get under way.
Note the word “somewhat” modifying “throwable.” That is key. The stick is hard to aim properly. That, combined with a narrow playing field, makes for a low scoring game. Alberto joins us part-way through and is a willing participant. May it be duly recorded in history books that perhaps the only game of touch football played with a stick at Mount Vernon was won 7-0 on a touchdown catch by Calvin Miller.
Sandi later heard Alberto make the “crazy guys” comment to his mother.
Mount Vernon is fascinating. We see a video in the museum then stroll up the path to the long, wide expanse of lawn crowned at the far end by the mansion.
Eighty percent of the original wood remains in the mansion and we see the bed George Washington died in.
If you step out the back door of the mansion, you are rewarded with a gorgeous view of the mighty Potomac river. No wonder Washington loved this place.
Bill explains to us one of the remarkable things about George Washington. After his success in the revolutionary war many people wanted Washington to set up as a king. Many leaders would likely have done so. Seldom in history had mankind seen a leader so powerful and so highly respected peacefully and willingly hand over the reins to someone else. Washington resigned his commission.
Washington thus set an example that has reverberated down through the decades, and we still benefit from today.
Upon leaving the mansion, some of us walk down the pathway to the tombs of the Washingtons. George and Martha’s remains rest above ground behind an iron gate in a marble box lined with lead. A place like this is conducive to some deep thinking.
We visit the museum and gift shop yet before lunch. That is interesting. I could have kept myself occupied in that place for hours, I think. I purchase more books in the gift shop. I end up buying a total of fifteen books from the different stops we made on this trip.
We enjoy lunch at the inn here in Mount Vernon, then it’s time to turn our noses toward home.
Bill and Sandi take us homeward via the Blue Ridge Parkway. We enjoy some of our Creator’s spectacular scenery.
A Days Inn in West Virginia is our stopping place for the night and the site of our Rook tournament championship.
We began this tourney a few days ago with 10 teams of two people each. Tonight, only three teams remain. It’s time to duke it out for the championship. Steve and Daniel eliminate one team, then face Ivan and me in the championship. This last game comes down to the very last hand. Ivan and I end up with just enough points to send Steven and Daniel backward and preserve the victory.
Bill and Sandi have alerted us to be ready to leave this hotel at 5:45 tomorrow morning.
Everyone is on time this last morning of the year. The roads are fairly empty and we make splendid time. We don’t stop until 10 o’clock in Beaver Dam, Ohio.
Sometime preceding this, Lonnie wrote a story about our trip so far and left blank spaces throughout the story. He then had the rest of the people in the van supply him with random words to fill in the blanks in his story, much like Mad Libs. Though somewhat inaccurate, the result was a hilarious version of our trip so far.
Lonnie brings the story to our van and we enjoy reading it as we leave Beaver Dam.
We make a final stop in Kendallville to switch a few people around for the round of drop-offs.
There are a few ingredients that make an excursion like this a pleasant memory-maker. They include interesting places to visit, good tour guides and a fun, prompt group of people to travel with. This trip had them all.

Curb appeal is all about how attractive your home looks from the outside. It’s the first thing potential buyers notice, and it sets the tone for what’s inside. Whether someone is driving by or pulling into your driveway, making a good first impression is essential, especially if you’re looking to sell. We often get so used to walking around items in our front yard that we don’t realize how much cleaner and more appealing the space would look if those things were stored inside or tucked behind the barn, out of sight.
To assess your home’s curb appeal, take a step back and look at your home through the eyes of a first-time visitor. Notice the color and condition of the exterior, landscaping, and overall maintenance. Small improvements can make a big impact.
One of the easiest ways to refresh the exterior is to repaint your front door or garage door. In fact, Zillow’s 2023 paint color analysis found that a bold black front door could increase a home’s perceived value, while a dull cement-gray door might actually decrease it.
Another small but important detail is cleaning your windows. Dirty windows can give a negative impression, even if the inside of your home is spotless. A good scrubbing will give your home that polished, well-maintained look.
Don’t overlook the landscaping. While full professional landscaping can get expensive, small touches like fresh flowerpots, a few new shrubs, or even some new mulch can make a world of difference. Adding a fall scene to the front porch can really spice things up. Keeping the yard clean and free of fallen leaves also adds to that fresh appearance.
Power washing your siding, driveway, and walkways is another easy way to make your home shine. A clean driveway is especially important since it’s often the first thing people notice. If your driveway has accumulated dirt or stains over the years, a quick power wash can make it look like new.
Lastly, tidy up outdoor lighting and fix any damaged roof shingles or sagging gutters. Clean and functional lighting is not only inviting but adds a layer of safety and security for potential buyers, especially if they visit in the evening.
Even small improvements can boost your home’s curb appeal and lead to a quicker, higher sale, making it worth the effort before putting your home on the market.

The updates that we see greatly impact a buyers’ impression of a home are refreshed kitchen cabinets with a fresh coat of paint or new hardware, curb appeal, which Wayne covered in this month’s article, and a clean, approachable basement, which can mean anything from sweeping out the cobwebs and painting unfinished ceilings to creating a rec room or home gym.
