Winning formula The Go North Wales Tourism Awards are back with a bang this year…

After what has been a challenging few years for our industry, it’s now time to look forward and what better way than to celebrate and recognise excellence in the region’s hospitality and tourism sectors than with the 2022 Go North Wales

Tourism Awards.

Now an established event in the industry’s calendar and in its sixth year this year the awards will showcase and celebrate the achievements, hard work and dedication of those working in the industry.

If you are involved in our region’s tourism industry then these awards are for you! The awards aim to shine a spotlight on

excellence across the board in areas such as accommodation, food and drink, attractions and events to name a few.

We want people to nominate their tourism business, by demonstrating their success and showing how they offer an exceptional experience to visitors – one that makes people return time and again to North Wales.

There are a wide range of categories because there are so many different providers in the tourism and hospitality sector in North Wales.

They are being run by private sector body North Wales Tourism, one of the UK’s leading tourism organisations, supporting businesses across the region’s six counties. Its aim is to build and maintain a prosperous and sustainable tourism industry in North Wales.

Tourism and hospitality are worth millions to the economy of North Wales. Thousands of people already work in the industry across the six counties and there’s the potential to grow this, to enable more jobs to be created. It is hoped that the tourism and hospitality industry in North Wales will eventually return to and then exceed pre-pandemic levels when it was attracting record number of visitors and annually pumping £3.6 billion into the region’s economy.

For the second year running the awards are supported by headline sponsor Harlech Foodservice who, since 1972, remains an independent, family owned company that delivers a total foodservice solution, with a core range of products across the region of North Wales. The categories are:

Go Hotel Award 2022 Go B&B / Inn Award 2022 Go Self Catering Award 2022 Go Holiday Park Award 2022 Go Caravan, Camping or Glamping Award 2022 Go Attraction Award 2022 Go Activity Award 2022 Go Best Event Award 2022 Go Food and Drink Award 2022 Go Tourism Supplier Award 2022 Go Skills Award 2022 Go Responsible and Sustainable Green Award 2022 Go Pet Friendly Award 2022 Go Young Person Award 2022 Go Best Newcomer Award 2022 Go North Wales Judges Award 2022

The window for nomination submissions in 16 categories is open until Monday October 10th, and more details can be found at: www.gonorthwalestourismawards.website

The 2022 Go North Wales Tourism Awards also been

supported by other businesses across North Wales, Wales and the UK and a big thank you goes out to them. A full list and information of all of the sponsors and supporters are available on the Go North Wales Tourism Awards website.

The Oscars-style ceremony will be held at Venue Cymru in Llandudno on Thursday, November 24th and will be hosted by

radio and TV presenter Sian Lloyd. North Wales Tourism will also be using the occasion to raise money for their nominated charity, Wales Air Ambulance.
