Enhanced 2024MY Enyaq: Faster Charging, More Equipment, and Longer Range

he 2024 model year Enyaq introduces significant engineering, design, and specification enhancements. These updates aim to provide customers with a better driving experience and improved value for money. With faster charging, increased power outputs, and longer driving ranges, the Enyaq continues to raise the bar for electric SUVs.

Longer Driving Range

Thanks to refinements in the Enyaq's battery and energy management software, all models in the 2024MY line-up offer improved driving ranges. The entry-level Enyaq 60, equipped with a 58 kWh battery, now has a WLTP combined range figure of 249 miles, an increase of three miles. The 85, 85x, and vRS models, which retain the 77 kWh battery, also offer increased ranges. The Enyaq Coupé vRS, in particular, receives a significant 16-mile range boost, with a new WLTP range figure of up to 340 miles.

Increased Power Outputs

Most models in the updated Enyaq line-up also benefit from increased power outputs. The Enyaq 60 retains the same 179 PS motor, while the 85 and 85x models now generate 286 PS as standard, representing an 82 PS increase over the previous 80 model. The Enyaq 85 accelerates from 0-62 mph in 6.7 seconds, while the 85x performs the same test in 6.6 seconds. The sporting flagship vRS model receives a significant power boost of 41 PS, resulting in a total output of 340 PS and a 0-62 mph time of just 5.5 seconds. Faster Charging Speed In addition to

improved driving ranges and power outputs, the 2024MY Enyaq also offers faster charging capabilities. The new Enyaq 85x and vRS models feature an increased DC rapid charging speed of 175 kW when connected to a suitable rapid DC charge point. This improvement allows both models to charge from 10-80% in approximately 29 minutes, a seven-minute improvement compared to the previous models.

Enhanced Infotainment System

The updated Enyaq comes with an improved infotainment system, featuring revised graphics and improved usability. The new icons and redesigned screens offer a smoother navigation experience, making it easier for drivers to access and control various features. The charging and climate displays have also been reworked to provide clearer and simpler operation on the move. The navigation and assistance graphics have been redesigned to deliver clearer and easier-to-follow mapping and directions.

New Value-Packed Edition Models

To enhance the Enyaq's value for money proposition, Škoda has introduced two new models to the range: the Enyaq 60 Edition and the Enyaq 85 Edition. These models offer exceptional value with an enhanced specification for a small premium over the previous models. Key features of the Edition models include keyless entry and start/stop, Adaptive Cruise Control, Full LED matrix headlights, Tri-zone climate control, and an Electric boot with Virtual pedal. All-New 2024 Honda SH MODE 125: Elevating Style and Performancet The Honda SH scooter series has been a trusted companion for riders across Europe since its introduction in 1984. With over 1.2 million units sold, the SH family has continuously evolved to meet the changing needs and expectations of riders. In 2021, Honda unveiled the all-new SH Mode 125, designed to capture the aspirations of a younger generation of Honda riders. Now, for the 2024 model year, the SH Mode 125 receives exciting updates that elevate its style and performance, making it even more desirable for European riders.

Model Overview

The 2024 Honda SH Mode 125 builds upon the success of its predecessor, combining trendy style, confident performance, and low running costs. The chic refresh introduced in 2021 included an attractive LED headlight that enhanced the scooter's distinctive face. Underneath the sleek exterior, the SH Mode 125 featured a lighter steel 'enhanced Smart Architecture Frame' (eSAF) and a more powerful and fuel-efficient enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) four-valve, water-cooled SOHC engine. The new model also boasted aluminum wheels fitted with fuel-saving tires. Practicality was not overlooked in the 2021 refresh. The SH Mode 125 offered increased storage space under the seat and a convenient glovebox with a USB Type-A socket for charging devices. Smart Key operation, allowing riders to start the scooter and unlock the seat without removing the key from their pocket, added a premium touch.

The scooter features a wide, flat floor that provides ample legroom, making it comfortable for riders of all sizes. The 18.5L compartment offers plenty of space for riders to store their belongings, and integrated luggage hooks ensure secure transport. Additionally, the scooter features a glovebox with a USB charging socket, allowing riders to keep their devices powered while on the go. One of the standout features of the SH Mode 125 is the Smart Key operation. With the Smart Key, riders can easily start the scooter and unlock the seat without fumbling for keys. This feature adds convenience to busy urban lifestyles, allowing riders to quickly hop on and off their scooter without hassle.

Engine

The heart of the 2024 Honda SH Mode 125 is the enhanced Smart Power Plus (eSP+) four-valve, watercooled SOHC engine. Delivering 8.4kW of power at 8,500rpm and a peak torque of 12.1Nm at 5,000rpm, this engine offers a perfect balance of performance and fuel efficiency. The flat linear torque curve ensures smooth acceleration in urban environments, catering to riders with diverse experience levels. Fuel efficiency is a key consideration for any scooter, and the SH Mode 125 excels in this area. With approximately 50km/liter fuel consumption in WMTC mode and a 5.5L fuel tank, riders can expect a range of approximately 275km between fill-ups. Honda's eSP low-friction technologies are integrated throughout the engine, optimizing efficiency and performance. The engine's design features a compact combustion chamber and PGM-FI fuel injection, ensuring optimal burning velocity and cooling performance. An offset cylinder and 'spiny' cast-iron sleeve reduce friction, resulting in improved efficiency. The high-efficiency radiator, integrated into the crankcase, reduces drag and frictional losses. The transmission unit is equipped with low-friction bearings and a specialized drive pulley design, further reducing resistance and improving overall transmission efficiency.
