in 2016 Which? Breakdown Survey Hondacare Assistance has been voted the best car maker branded cover in the 2016 Which? Breakdown Survey and been awarded Which? Recommended Provider status. As part of the Which? Car Survey 2016, which collected data from almost 8,600 drivers who had to call out a breakdown service in the past year, Hondacare Assistance scored an impressive 88%, up by 1% from last year’s survey. Hondacare Assistance took the top spot in both the time taken to arrive on site as well as the ‘repair at roadside’ categories, both of which are key factors when a customer is stuck at the roadside, highlighted by the survey which discovered 78% said response time is the most important factor when choosing a breakdown company. Provided by the AA, Hondacare Assistance covers the car for three years and is included as part of the manufacturer warranty offering a full range of services such as home, roadside and recovery assistance as well as a messaging service to let a family member know what’s happening. All Honda owners get European Assistance as part of the standard manufacturer warranty. Philip Crossman, Managing Director of Honda UK, commented: “Hondacare Assistance has been named the best car maker branded cover for the second year running, which is a tremendous achievement. In all instances at Honda, the customer is the priority and this recognition by a trusted consumer champion will firmly entrench that ethos in both our existing and new customers to the Honda brand.”

CIVIC TYPE R HO

ave you seen the Kaiser Chiefs’ latest music video ‘Hole In My Soul’? The vehicle is something very different as it features five customised Honda Civic Type R’s. The video took place at Knockhill Race Circuit, Scotland, and the band members received the help from BTCC superstar Gordon Shedden.

Shedden took the Chiefs on a hair-raising lap around the circuit – primarily for “safety reasons” (but also just for fun). Then, on the morning of the shoot, the Kaisers were kitted out in custom helmets and racing suits – featuring artwork from their latest album, ‘Stay Together’ – before moving on to the really important stuff: fry-ups. After wolfing down a hearty breakfast, the

Next: time to tear around Knockhill race circuit at high speeds, with a BTCC champion in the driver’s seat – naturally. Highlights from the shoot include: the Civic squadron ejecting coloured smoke à la Red

Arrows and performing a four-and-a-half minute burnout, which, according to director Ed Sayers, resulted in the tyres turning into piles of “hot black spaghetti”. CLICK HERE TO READ THE FULL ARTICLE ON OUR WEB SITE

Luna Animal Rescue

In July, sadly Norton Way lost one of our long standing Sales executives Mr Roy Hurwitz. His wonderful personality, and laugh will be greatly missed by all of us here at Norton Way, and sadly this news, also came the fact that Roy left behind two beloved dogs- Teddvy and Gypsy, both who needed to be rehomed. At our time of need, a fantastic local charity called Luna literally came to our rescue and helped get Teddy and Gypsy safe and comfortable. This Charity has worked closely with Roy’s family and friends to find new homes for the dogs, and provided the greatest comfort to us all, knowing they were ok.

animal), all dogs that are re-homed through the charity have a lifetime of rescue backup, whether it is behavioural issues or a change of circumstances they offer help and guidance. All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed, flea treated and vet checked.

THE CHARITY’S WORK

ABOUT THE CHARITY

Luna Animal Rescue was founded by Louise Jest and Natalie Howe in October 2013. They had both been involved in rescue before and decided to start Luna to help the many UK dogs that find themselves needing to be re-homed. Great Britain is a nation of animal lovers but there are still many unwanted dogs and puppies being left in UK pounds and being euthanised every day, Luna are trying to make a difference by saving these poor dogs on death row and re-homing them as loving family pets. Luna are a voluntary non-profit organisation, with a non-destruct policy ( we will not put down a healthy well balanced

Luna Animal Rescue became a registered charity in October 2015, and are based in the South East of England.
