When Suzuki set out to create a hatchback like none before, it first established a key guideline— hold back on nothing. The result is the Suzuki Baleno, a harmonious combination of styling that flows, superb performance achieved through ground-breaking technologies, and smart packaging. To create a new, bar-raising hatchback that is fun to drive and engineered to meet today’s consumers’ needs, Suzuki wanted to take the compact car to the ultimate level. Baleno chief engineer Kunihiko Ito explains: “We set our sights on developing the ideal hatchback, one that makes no compromises, giving it an elegant, sophisticated and grown-up character. The Baleno perfectly embodies all the elements expected in a car of this size—design, utility, comfort, manoeuvrability, superior driving performance, and fuel efficiency.”

As a title sponsor of MK Dons for the second season, Suzuki GB PLC is delighted to have worked with the team to help promote its T-shirt design produced in aid of the Marcus Rutherford Foundation / Young Adult Cancer Trust. Marcus lost his battle with Leukaemia in 2012 at the age of just 22.

Michael Rutherford, trustee of the Foundation comments: “Change is long overdue. More health checks, testing and screening is needed in schools, colleges and universities. Thousands of wholly-innocent young adults are being diagnosed with cancer every year. Tragically, the diagnosis can come far too late and we are doing all we can to help. We really appreciate the support from the MK Dons and the public who have bought Marcus’s shirt so far – it does make a difference as it helps us get financial and other help to young adult cancer patients in need.” The battle bus is equipped to the highest NHS standards and therefore has the potential to serve as a clinic capable of carrying out everything from annual health checks to blood testing. Its professional, multi-purpose vehicle status also means that it’s superbly equipped to transport emergency supplies of blood and blood products. On a recent match day at their home stadium mk, and in front of over 15,000 supporters, the team, who are of course all young adults themselves, showed their support by warming up before the game in the Marcus T-Shirt before donating them to some avid fans sitting on the front row. The T Shirt was designed by a fan who won a competition set up by Suzuki; it was then put into production with 10 per cent of the proceeds going to the Foundation. Printed on one sleeve, the shirt proudly incorporates a personal stamp designed by Marcus which is also a trademark for the Foundation. The Marcus Rutherford Foundation exists to research the causes of cancer in young adults and provide those undergoing cancer treatments

WILL HORNER
Will is our Service Manager for both Mazda and Suzuki, and has been in that role for the last 3 years. He joined Norton Way over 12 and a half years ago as a Trainee Service Advisor and has been a fantastic example of someone working their way up in the company. His favourite part about working with Norton Way is building on the company’s fantastic local reputation and making sure every customer is sent away with a smile on their face. His favourite vehicle in the range is the new Vitara. Fun fact: he was the 1st boy ever born in Hinchinbrook Hospital.
BOB CANTWELL
Bob is our Senior Service Advisor, who has been with Norton way for 22 years after joining us in April 1993. His favourite thing about the company is that it is a family run business that has senior management that are there to answer too, it doesn’t have a corporate feel. Bob’s favourite part of working with Suzuki products is there quality and reliability, which makes his job as a service advisor much easier.
LEE BILLINGTON
Lee joined the business over 4 years ago as a Service Advisor. Like Bob, Lee also credited the family run feel the business has and says it creates a great working atmosphere. His favourite vehicle in the Suzuki range is the Swift and believes it is one of the best value for money hatchbacks in the market. Lee is a Luton Town FC fan and is a season ticket holder there, he also enjoys going fishing in his spare time.
JULES BARCLAY
Jules is a Service Advisor and has been with the business for 1 year and her favourite thing is that her team feels like a work family. She has been with the business for 1 year and her favourite thing is that her team feels like a work family. When asked about her favourite Suzuki she said they were all fabulous and there was a vehicle to fit into everyone’s different needs. A fun fact about Jules is you can tell her favourite drink by her registration plate on her car (A popular Spanish Red Wine).
