CB CONCEPT TYPE II
The modern classic market is booming right now with the likes of BMW, Triumph and Ducati all producing popular models. This is clear strategy from Honda to take on the market and compete against the likes of the R nineT and the Thruxton. This bike is clearly intended to show the rather anaemic CB1100 can be made into a tougher bike with a harder style and thanks to the fitment of performance and handling enhancing 17-inch cast alloy wheels, a fuel tank lifted from the bigger Honda CB1300, upsidedown Showa forks, radial mount Brembo brakes, Ohlins twin shocks and retro Pirelli tyres it all works extremely well. The design of the Type II manages to blend modern performance parts with the retro styling of the CB1100’s finned and air-cooled motor.

HONDA CONCEPT CB
While the Type II is all about chasing those who want a modern classic with performance and handling in mind, the Concept CB offers an option for those who want an even more traditional look. The bike was first seen last year at the Tokyo show and has changed slightly since then with a different fuel tank shape, seat, modified silencer and new LED headlight. Insiders have been told that the two CB concepts will make up a two-pronged CB1100 range and both will be launched within the near future. Keep an eye out for our future communications for more news on these bikes when we have it available.

CHISWICK HONDA BIKES • ISSUE 18 • APR 2016 MOTOGP REPORT:
QATAR GP: 20.03.16 |
The MotoGP season has begun, in fine fashion for Repsol Honda with Marc Marquez leading the standings after two races. So far the Spanish rider has finished 3rd in the season’s first Grand Prix: Commercial Bank Grand Prix of Qatar and 1st last weekend at the Gran Premio Motul de la Republica Argentina. We take a look at the first two races.
ARGENTINA GP: 03.
first lap. The Repsol Honda rider overtook Rossi on lap three for fourth and advanced to third a few laps later, when Lannone crashed out. A close battle among the top four riders ensued, with Marquez and Dovizioso tussling over second in the final laps. In the end, Marc was pleased to take a solid and well-earned third-place finish. Dani, who contrary to his teammate had chosen a soft rear tyre, had started well from row three and then controlled Maverick Viñales from start to finish for fifth position. Like Marquez, Pedrosa was content to bring home decent points at a circuit that had proved challenging for him. The Repsol Honda team can take a lot of confidence into the rest of the season with their RC213V. The bike managed to record the fastest lap of the weekend during Saturday night’s qualifying sessions, which sadly didn’t count towards the grip position after starting the lap a split second after the chequered flag. This is an excellent achievement, as the track isn’t known for being the RC213V’s best.
MotoGP Qatar - 20.03.16 The season kicked off a positive start for Repsol Honda with Marc Marquez on the third step of the podium and teammate Dani Pedrosa completing the top five. Marc didn’t get a great start from the front row and found himself fifth at the end of the

MotoGP Argentina - 03.04.16 Reposl Honda took a lot of confidence into the race after performing in Qatar on a track that wasn’t known for being the RC213V’s best. Marc Marquez earned a well fought victory at the Argentina MotoGP yesterday, cool-headedly managing a tricky race. Marc took the lead on lap 2 by moving past Rossi and Dovizioso, and he was engaged in a thrilling battle with Rossi for first position until the bike change. On his second bike, Marc put in a sequence of fast laps that nobody was able to match, and in five laps he opened up a gap that allowed him to comfortably cross the line with a 7.6-second advantage. Although Dani’s pace wasn’t as fast as he would have liked, he remained cool and focused, and with Viñales, Dovizioso and Iannone all crashing, he was able to secure the third step of the podium and take over third position in the championship. The MSX125 carries Hondas’ long tradition of creating fun with appealing small-wheeled leisure motorcycles. It started with the original Monkey bike in 1963 and then continued with the Dax and Ape.
Since its release in 2013, the MSX125 has earned worldwide popularity, with over 300,000 units sold to date. This is largely down to its fuel efficient air-cooled 125cc engine, quirky looks and nimble handling. This has attracted A1 licence-holders, economy-conscious city commuters, camping vehicle owners and other recreational riders alike. It has also been extremely popular as the perfect paddock bike for race teams. Now for spring 2016, the MSX125 has gone through a redesign to give it a sharper new attitude with more of a ministreetfighter feel. A more edgy look is gained from the new fuel tank and side panels integrating cleanly. Up-front the MSX gains a distinctive, ultra-modern face down to the unique, new stacked LED headlight and a compact, upswept tail unit complete its bolder look. The new version is fun, easy-to-ride, and eminently customisable; it now has a lot more attitude. To register interest in this new model speak to a member of our sales team today. 9
