INTERI OR The Mazda MX-30 features an exclusive fabric made of bespoke recycled materials and designed exclusively for its density and colour. This “Breathing Fabric” appears as if it holds air inside, giving the interior an open and spacious look. The stylish integration of cork gives a modern, yet natural look. It honours the brands heritage as Mazda started out as a cork manufacturer. The cork used in the Mazda MX-30 comes from sustainably forested trees that keep supplying fresh cork for over 200 years. The freestyle doors are designed so they open from the centre outwards, letting the outside in. Everything from the fine materials, upholstery, interior panels and carpeting were carefully selected with excellent craftmanship. As a result, a unique Mazda look was achieved that strikes the perfect balance of style, function, and modern design.

HOW DO ELECTRIC CARS WORK? There are no gears in an electric car, it’s a direct drive – straight to the wheels. Just press the accelerator pedal and you get smooth power instantly from the electric motor; it’s clean, efficient and produces strong performance with zero emissions.

DOES THE ALL-NEW MX-30 HAVE REGENERATIVE BRAKING? Yes it does. One of the unique features of an electric motor is that it can be both a motor and a generator. When depressing the accelerator the battery powers the motor. However, when off the accelerator, while coasting or applying the brakes, the motor switches into generator mode. This slows the car down just as if you had shifted to a lower gear in a conventional car. Energy which would normally be lost is converted into usable energy that can be stored in the car’s battery and used to extend the usable range of the vehicle whilst driving.
IS THE BATTERY COVERED BY A WARRANTY? Yes, the battery in all-new Mazda MX-30 is covered by an 8-year or 100,000-mile warranty, whichever comes first. In case of an unexpected malfunction, the warranty covers all battery repair and/ or replacement.
CAN ELECTRIC CAR BATTERIES BE RECYCLED? The batteries that power electric cars (and hybrids) can be recycled. The batteries, with their lighter weight and longer range, are lithium-ion type – just like laptops and mobile phones.
