This fantastic new engine will be available in both the Hatchback and Fastback models with both 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions (Fastback= manual only). This Diesel variant will be available across the Mazda3 grade line-up, starting at £18,895 on-the-road with the entry SE model to the range topping Sport Nav. The 1.5 (105ps) SKYACTIV-D Diesel engine delivers fantastic fuel economy of up to 74.3mpg (Combined) and CO² emissions from just 99g/km. The introduction of this engine is significant for Mazda to compete with its leading competitors in the C-segment, as total diesel registrations account for 55% of all sales and of those 42% deliver sub 100g/km of C0² emissions. The Jazz and HR-V now join the existing 5-star rated in Honda’s line-up including the Civic and CR-V which are both produced in Swindon. The Euro NCAP rating scheme focuses on the vehicle’s overall safety performance, it then provides consumers an easy to understand single score. The rating considers various aspects of vehicle safety, including occupant protection, pedestrian protection and the availability and effectiveness of driver aids. The all-new HR-V and Jazz are the latest Honda models to join the line-up to receive the maximum safety rating from European Independent Safety Organisation NCAP. The Jazz is only the second supermini to achieve a 5-star rating so far this year. Both the Jazz and HR-V feature Honda’s City-Brake Active system (CTBA) which is fitted as standard across the range. It works by using laser technology to scan the road ahead and automatically applies the brakes if a low speed collision is likely. The mid and high grades on both Jazz & HR-V also feature Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS), a suite of active- safety technologies including: Forward Collision Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition System, Intelligent Speed Limiter, Lane Departure Warning and High- beam Support System. 4

We have some exciting news about the Suzuki Baleno that is expected to land in 2016. It will be one of the first vehicles on the road to feature one of Apple’s latest products- CarPlay. This innovative car infotainment display will enable your music, messages, phonebook contacts and internet radio apps to be displayed on a central screen, creating the perfect antidote to your traffic madness. The vehicle was first seen at the Frankfurt Motor Show a few months ago, and has been confirmed to give you a choice between a 1.2L petrol engine (In CVT or manual) or a 1.3L diesel. It has a fantastic selection of features, including UV-blocking glasses, steering audio controls, voice commands, keyless push startstop, reverse parking camera, LED daytime running lights and 16” alloy wheels to name a few! But let’s get onto the feature that will make the Baleno truly stand out against its rivals - Apple CarPlay. Apple have confirmed that CarPlay won’t mirror your phone’s display, but provide a way of using your iPhone in a safe manner. No more phone holders, no more Bluetooth pairing and mostly importantly helping you keep your eyes on the road. CarPlay allows you to use your apps. Best of all, it’s extremely simple to use- plug in your iPhone via USB, click on connect and you’re done.

MAPS The power and simplicity of Apple Maps come to your dashboard- complete with turn-by-turn directions, traffic conditions and estimated travel time. CarPlay can predict where you most likely want to go using addresses from your email, text messages, contacts and calendars. PHONE Make calls, return missed calls and listen to voicemail. Siri can help you do all these things. All you have to do is ask. MESSAGES Reading and writing is now listening and dictating. Siri can send, read and reply to your text messages for you, so you never have to look at your iPhone while driving. CarPlay now plays audio messages too, so you can hear from people in their own voices. MUSIC Access your artists, songs, playlists and your Apple Music membership using your car’s built- in controls. Or just tell Siri what you’d like to hear. CarPlay also supports additional audio

Remember, remember the fifth of November… because the iconic Peugeot GTi badge is returned to the medium car segment for the first time since the 1990s, and all is set for a thrilling performance. The 308 GTi by Peugeot Sport is a highend performance ‘hot hatch’ designed with the sophisticated and enthusiastic driver in mind. A few months ago we gave you an article with all of the latest news regarding the NP300 Navara, since then Nissan have confirmed the pricing and specifications that are available. The all- new NP300 Navara is built around the concept of being a rugged, dependable and capable workhorse with crossover-style comfort and class-leading technology, this will be sure to propel the Navara to the top of the pick-up segment. The vehicle will be available at Norton Way Nissan from January 2016, it comes in five distinct trim grades- Visia, Acenta, Acenta+, N-Connecta and Tekna, and will start from £18,376. Customers will then have the added bonus of being able to tailor the Navara to meet their requirements and lifestyle. The pick-up can be specified with either double cab or king cab and 19-PS twin-turbo or 190PS single turbo version of the new 2.3-litre dCi engine. There’s also a choice of two or four-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual or 7-speed automatic transmission. Safety comes first with the new Navara with a number of advanced first-in-class features, all of which are incorporated across the range as standard. These include Forward Emergency Braking on all double cab models; electronic limited slip differential (eLSD); Hill Start Assist and Hill Descent Control (on 4WD models). Due to one of the main aims of the NP300

Navara is to develop a pick-up that delivers crossover-style of comfort from the entry-level, for example, the Visia models include manual air conditioning (4WD), 5-link rear suspension (DC), Bluetooth telephone integration, a USB port and automatic headlights. Step up to Acenta, and you will enjoy a number of styling enhancements, including 16” alloys, Nissan intelligent key system and a 5” HD full colour TFT screen. Move up the range to the new N-Connecta trim and entertainment steps up, with the addition of NissanConnect 2.0 7” touchscreen satellite navigation and entertainment system. DID YOU KNOW? The Nissan X-Trail n-tec & Tekna are now available with 17” Alloys. This will mean customers can benefit from lower BIK and avoid VED (on dci 130 2WD) saving up to £300 in running costs in the first year. CHISWICK HONDA COMES UP ON TOP
We have some fantastic news! Our Chiswick Honda Bodyshop has won the Sikken Bodyshop of the Year Title. Bodyshop manager, Steve Armstrong collected the prize at the very 1st UK Body Shop Awards.
The winners were awarded their prizes by Nick Holmes, Head of Customer & After Sales for Honda (UK) and a representative of each award sponsor at a ceremony at the Silverstone circuit. Nick Holmes comments: “We are committed to providing the highest levels of customer service and repair quality to our customers in the unfortunate event of an accident, and we couldn’t do so without the excellent work and first class standards of our bodyshop and dealer partners across the country. These awards are just a small gesture of thanks from us for the commitment and passion that they show day in, day out, looking after our customers. I would like to pass on my congratulations to all of those who won and took part, and a big thank you to our awards sponsors for their support.” 13
Steve was joined by twenty four finalists across the Honda (UK)’s aftersales network, alongside senior management from Honda. It was a great event that started off with a meet and great breakfast followed by the awards ceremony. All of the finalists were then treated to a range of activities including driving the fantastic Type R around the track. In the car with Steve was a professional racing driver who gave him tips and advice on how to get the fastest lap.
