Hello Beautiful People! South Africa April /May 2020 ~
Savour The Simple Things
Apart from our humanity and beating hearts, nothing brings us together as a nation and world, like sport and suffering. Our views on it obviously varies enormously. This month we are in the count down to the end of the lockdown and would like to inspire some great things to do with the extra time on our sanitised hands. We researched a list of things to do during lockdown and ongoing improvement of our mindset, health and income. Please let us stand together in helping and protecting those with compromised economical situations and immune systems and do so with pragmatic equanimity. This too shall pass. Let's stay positive, helpful, and a part of the solution. It is the perfect time to do Random Acts Of Kindness to yourself and others. As always, we celebrate some of the excellence of the innovative and resourceful endeavours of South Africans who set a positive tone for our beloved rainbow nation. With or without total freedom of movement, we rock on!
You can read the full newsletter online, page through this digital magazine, click and read or print the PDF. Thank you so much to all who print this out as infotainment for their friends, visitors & guests! – I receive Very interesting feedback from all over the world!

By Prof. Dr. Franz Vesely,
We Salute all the health and food distribution workers and volunteers! Thank You!
“BETWEEN STIMULUS AND RESPONSE THERE IS A SPACE. IN THAT SPACE IS OUR POWER TO CHOOSE OUR RESPONSE. IN OUR RESPONSE LIES OUR GROWTH AND OUR FREEDOM.” ~ VIKTOR FRANKL Victor Frankl was an Austrian neurologist and psychiatrist who scrubbed toilets to improve the hygiene in the camps during the Holocaust. He survived four concentration camps; Theresienstadt, Auschwitz, Kaufering and Türkheim. in 1946 he published his world-famous book entitled, Trotzdem Ja Zum Leben Sagen: Ein Psychologe Erlebt das Konzentrationslager (“Saying Yes to Life in Spite of Everything: A Psychologist Experiences the Concentration Camp”), known in English by the title Man’s Search for Meaning. In 1959 the title was changed to: From Death-Camp to Existentialism. More about the amazing Victor Frankl.

South Africans Living In China - Update ” Those who wish to sing, always find a song” ~ Swedish Proverb During this week I’ve been reminded of how important it is to make an effort to inspire and encourage each other in love and positivity. Social media is bringing the worst out in so many people and it’s during these times that we have to fight harder not to get swept into this world of lies and of playing the blaming game. I salute everyone that has been able to stay positive, respectful toward every nation, not gossiping, and not giving in to reading and sharing fake news. It’s during times like these that we can decide to be an earthly king or a hero. Earthly kings fight for their countries whilst heros fight for everyone!!!!…Read more

Ways to help your brain to help you.
Be aware of your breathing. Focusing on deep and slow breathing calms the stress responses as the brain receives the signal that you are not in an immediate life-threatening situation.
●
Practice Gratitude. Counting your blessings has a physiological effect on your brain. The secretion of feel good hormones enables the brain to relax the stress responses and constant Adrenaline secretion which causes discord in all the systems of the body.
●
Movement stimulates
We are mostly wired and pre-programmed for worst case scenarios as it is the job of our Egotistical thinking to keep us alive and safe from bad luck, ridicule, hunger, poverty etc. Thus, it is constantly scanning our inner and outer environment for possible danger, misfortune and warnings.
blood flow and enhances the provision of Oxygen for clear thinking. ●
To balance that, we have the innate ability to control our minds by becoming aware that thoughts are just thoughts. The brain does not know the difference between a real threat and a thought about a possible threat or between our perception of what someone thinks of us and what they actually think of us. It responds with the same stress hormone secretions.

Boost your immune system Do all those things that you know you should do, those that you never feel guilty about: Eat healthy, fresh, whole food, sleep enough, exercise, meditate, calm yourself with slow, deep breathing, drink water, think nice thoughts and be grateful for small things. The body is a highly intelligent 'machine' that takes care of itself if you take care of it. Your body is full of trillions of friendly bacteria, viruses and fungi. They are collectively known as the microbiome and directly linked to your immune system, health and vitality. High stress levels, too little sleep, eating processed foods and taking antibiotics can all damage our gut microbiome. This affects many other aspects of our health, such as the brain, heart, immune system, skin, weight, hormone levels, ability to absorb utrients and even the development of cancer. You have more bacteria in your body than you have cells. Most are good for you. The ones found in your gut, not only help you digest food, they work all over your body and can be good for your physical and mental health.
The healthiest, fastest and cheapest way to grow a healthier gut microbiome is to ferment your own fresh fruit and vegetables. Especially if you grow it yourself. After fermented food, which improves nutrition, raw food still has way more nutrients than any cooking method renders.
