To tell the story of Honeysuckle, I have to start with another beginning. The beginning of Overberg Honey Company. In 2010, married for only one week, my husband Danie and I moved to the Overberg to take over an existing beekeeping business. It was a humble beginning and we had no idea what it would grow into, but we were determined, young and too stubborn to fail. Eight years down the line (and still very young ) we had already exported a few containers of honey, established a respectable name in Pollination circles and had our own two Honey Shops. With all the raw ingredients available, our own outlets, and a well-known brand, Honeysuckle, on our shelves, we approached our supplier to obtain the manufacturing rights of the full Honeysuckle series for the Western Cape. ...read more on https://www.honeysuckle.co.za/about/

Always Something New At Creation Wines! Olive Oil & Die Voormanshuis The Creation team recently introduced their first olive oil. The 2019 Creation Extra Virgin Olive Oil was grown in two Hemel-en-Aarde groves planted in 2007 on the Mount Babylon and Vrede farms and covering 1.5 hectares in total. Selected for their suitability to the terroir, the cultivars include four Italian varieties – Coratina, Leccino, Frantoio and Favolosa – as well as a Sicilian cultivar, Nocellare del Belice.

Coastal Cleanups Antonio da Silva-Swart's passion lies with hiking the coast and organising cleanups along the Whale Coat coastline, either with school learners or volunteers from the area. On the ďŹ rst Saturday of each month, I hold a cleanup of the coast and collect the marine debris with Volunteers. The area gets decided after I have done a reconnaissance of the coast or one of my area specialists lets me know what it looks like in their area. The bags are sponsored by Plastics SA and I take the debris to Whale Coast Conservation Green House in Vermont, for analysing/counting and sorting. The results get emailed to Plastics SA for the annual international coastal cleanup day and yearly results. These results get sent to the International Coastal Cleanup Organisation for global reporting. Volunteers can contact Antonio 0724624271 Please read these articles for more information and inspiration. A man with a passion for cleaning up. Groep maak maandeliks strand skoon. Residents join in cleaning up our coast. Please read more about and support the coastline cleanups! It is fun and you will feel great about your Eco-respecting participation.

Click on the image for contact details. Ancient Egyptians regarded the pomegranate as a symbol of prosperity and ambition. De Glebe grows pomegranates on a farm situated close to Piketberg. I was lucky to be introduced to the hard working team and left the lovely farm with several boxes of excellent quality Pomegranates as well as a couple of liters of frozen 100% Juice. Unlike any other Pomegranate juice I have ever bought, due to the gentle pressing process, it features no bitterness or tartness. Just divine, fresh, sweet goodness.
