South Africa and some of our places to visit, things to do, experience and see. Hello Lovely People! This month we bring you Jingles & Joy. Although my choice would be to hook up the hammock and chill with a book, for those with ants in their- (or their children's) pants, there are so many places to go, to shop, to eat, to visit, things to do, to taste, ... the list is endless and we are so very spoilt for choice. Recommendations: Check out the cattitude at the Stanford Big Cat Sanctuary. Visit the coolest bookshop in the Overberg, Liberty Books (Off the N2 'Mall' Grabouw) is a knockout of brilliantly priced quality books and value for money! Go drink some new crisp Cider or Craft Beer. Go taste wine and do wine pairings. Spoil yourself in Cape Town. Go for a hike in nature and feel your vigour pumping! __________________________________________________________________

South Africa ~ Overberg ~ Wine Our Favourite Wines which we suggest you stock up on this month are: Creation Wines. When Creation Wines was established in 2002, it meant a brand-new beginning for Jean-Claude and Carolyn Martin who decided to exchange the winelands of Switzerland for those of South Africa. It also meant the planting of vines in virgin land where there had only been sheep pastures before, and building a cellar and tasting facilities from scratch. Perhaps it’s not surprising that innovation has since been the order of the day on this beautiful estate. Read more Seven Springs International recognition for wines produced on your doorstep! Seven Springs Vineyard produces just five wines and already celebrates Gold and Bronze Decanter World Wine Awards, Silver and Bronze International Wine Challenge Awards as well as two 4 Star Platter ratings. 7springs.co.za Read more about the delightful 7 Springs vineyard.

Sumaridge Estate Wines In the beautiful Upper Hemel ~ en ~ Aarde valley lies Sumaridge Estate Wines. Family owned, and best known for its world class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, it also produces other single varietals and premium blends of equal quality. The tasting room opens every day, between 11am and 5pm, and is family and disabled friendly; encouraging you to linger longer at this little piece of heaven on earth. Click here to visit the Sumaridge Estate Wines website.

Wildekrans Boutique Wine Estate is an international award-winning vineyard overlooking Walker Bay, set within a picturesque 1000-hectare estate tucked away in the beautiful Bot River Valley. Apart from award-winning wines available for tasting on the Wildekrans farm, the Estate offers 8 luxury self-catering cottages, perfectly designed for the ultimate experience in relaxation. The Wildekrans winemaking philosophy is one that starts from the premise that great wines begin in the vineyard. The winemaking process, similarly, adheres to principles of low intervention with a focus on capturing and retaining the essence of the vine and terrior. Website

Our Restaurant recommendations of the month: The Forage restaurant at Wildekrans

is still doing their genius indigenous dining thing while also doing the fabulous new Racione at the tasting room. Considering the name of the

Panorama Restaurant at Bellavista

Country place, you should not be surprised to find 180 degree breathtaking views over Walker bay. But you will be! It is as if everything comes together to be expansive and inducing deep breathing. The view, the food, the wine, the ambience and the almost laid-back perfection everything is done with (.... só Afri-Swiss™ : )

Things To Do ♥ Adrenalin adventure in nature ~ Cape Canopy Tours “Situated in the Hottentots Holland Nature Reserve, we have partnered with CapeNature to take you into a previously inaccessible and pristine part of this amazing World Heritage Site. Only one hour from Cape Town, we offer a fully guided adventure activity for nature enthusiasts of ages 5 to 75!” A zipline canopy tour in the company of soaring eagles, surrounded by breathtaking Cape fynbos panoramas and mountainscapes only an hour’s drive from Cape Town by car could well be exactly what you are looking for. Thrilled zipliners who have completed the course have described it as super safe. One commented that the quality of the structure and equipment was reassuringly high and had made her fear of heights irrelevant. Lonely Planet recently listed Cape Canopy Tour, located in the Elgin Valley near Grabouw and scaling the rugged Hottentots Holland mountains in the Cape Nature reserve of the same name, as second on the list of the world’s hottest new tourism experiences for 2015. Cape Canopy Tour was the only African attraction to make the list! It has been described by Lonely Planet as “vertigo-tinged fun” and “an exciting aerial perspective”.
