GDANSK
GDAŃSK IS A POLISH CITY ON THE BALTIC COAST, POLAND‘S PRINCIPAL SEAPORT AND THE CENTER OF THE COUNTRY‘S FOURTHLARGEST METROPOLITAN AREA IN A CONURBATION WITH THE CITY OF GDYNIA, SPA TOWN OF SOPOT, CALLED THE TRICITY WITH A POPULATION NEAR 1,400,000. TOGETHER WITH THE NEARBY PORT OF GDYNIA, GDAŃSK IS ALSO AN IMPORTANT INDUSTRIAL CENTER. HISTORICALLY AN IMPORTANT SEAPORT AND SHIPBUILDING CENTER, GDAŃSK WAS A MEMBER OF THE HANSEATIC LEAGUE. THE CITY WAS THE BIRTHPLACE OF THE SOLIDARITY MOVEMENT, WHICH PLAYED A MAJOR ROLE IN BRINGING AN END TO COMMUNIST RULE ACROSS CENTRAL EUROPE. THE ERGO ARENA OPENED IN 2010 IS THE FOURTH TIME A STOP OF THE FIM FREESTYLE MX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP AND 2015 IT WAS A SOLD OUT EVENT OFFERING PERFECT CONDITIONS FOR A BATTLE FOR THE SECOND TO LAST ROUND OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP 2015.

MELEROS ATTACK Gdansk, November 21, 2015: In front of a sold-out crowd in the Ergo Arena Gdansk, 11 of the best FMX athletes put everything on the line for the 11th and penultimate round of the NIGHT of the JUMPS.
The newest rider to start at NOTJ was the Danish rider, Alex Porsing who premie-
red due to the injury-related departure of the local hero Marcin Lukaszcyk who wasn’t able to start. Displaying some stylish upright

In the LifeProof Best Whip competition, five riders were turning it down and getting upside down under the Ergo Arena roof. The 9,000 strong crowd were standing in their seats and screaming for James Carter who turned his 450cc machine well past 90 degrees to take the victory. In the Maxxis Highest Air, it was the first time this season we have seen a drawn event. Massimo Bianconcini and Jose Miralles both failed to make it past 9.00 metres and shared the prize money and also sharing the same points in the Maxxis Highest Air championship before the final round in Sofia to decide the overall champion. David Rinaldo opened the Final round, and

after reluctantly holding back due to his shoulder injury, he made sure he secured sixth place and 10 championship points and keeping him in the running for the World Championship title. Brice Izzo stomped a near perfect run, finishing with his new flair and taking 5th place. The Czech rider Petr Pilat showed all of his best tricks, but missed out by the smallest of margins, a single point to make it to the 3rd place podium. The crowd however celebrated frenetically with him when he landed safely on the Tandem Backflip before the award ceremony with one Polish winner of an exclusive competition to experience a Tandem Backflip with the star. Remi Bizouard was able to wrest the 3rd place position from Pilat by one point, despite the straight backflip from an aborted Flip Combo. However the strength of Remi’s run was in his display of some of the biggest tricks in FMX and also performing an extra trick on top of the 9 tricks and allocated time to help eliminate the botched trick points.
