INNOVATION - What is new about Sea Shell Chinaware? It takes about 40% of animal bones to make the high-quality bone chinaware, which is used in most top quality restaurants plus First and Business Class meal services in the Airline industry. This mainly comes from cow bones but could also be pig bones too. As a consumer, you wouldn’t know. However, as customers become increasingly “consumer-savvy”, and especially for those who have moral, religious, or ethical reasons not to touch, or use, items made from animal by-products, bone chinaware is potentially objectionable. Using the latest Chinaware technology, Malton has developed a range of chinaware, one made from sea shells, which has the same fine qualities of conventional bone chinaware; being elegant, light-weight, translucent and durable, but without any animal bone content. We also offer an excellent quality of porcelain. QUALITY IN APPLICATION - What does Sea Shell Chinaware do that is better? How will it save money? Is it safe? Sea shell chinaware is 10-15% more durable than conventional bone chinaware and also 10-15% lighter than normal porcelain (a very important factor, especially in the airline industry). Now all fine chinaware items such as plates, bowls, cups, saucers, etc. are made available to restaurants using this sustainable “new- bone” sea shell material, without any animal bone content at all. This sea shell chinaware material is completely food-safe, microwaveable, dishwasher safe and can even been certified as “Halal”, which opens up tremendous marketing opportunities for restaurants where a significant proportion of customers are Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Vegetarian or Animal Lovers. Now restaurants can satisfy its increasingly diverse and discerning customers by providing this new alternative fine chinaware, which is still as elegant, natural and durable, while also being sustainable, ethical and more cost-effective. Sea shell naturally contains a higher level of calcium which helps to kill bacteria. It is therefore more hygienic for use in catering applications. INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CUSTOMER SATISFACTION - What impact would Sea Shell Chinaware have on a restaurant’s intended customers? The main material which goes into making sea shell chinaware is completely natural, sustainable and environmentally-friendly; gathered from beaches where mother-nature deposits and replenishes it with every incoming and outgoing tide. The gathering and manufacturing process involves no killing of animals, nor any harvesting of, or cruelty to, living creatures whatsoever. Therefore, companies can now offer “bone china” quality, without the same high price, nor the need to be concerned about religious, moral or ethical beliefs of customers. Practically-speaking, all customers regardless of their various religious faiths, or moral, or ethical beliefs, will find sea shell chinaware more acceptable, as well as being more elegant, more lightweight and more beautiful than porcelain. At 10-15% less in price (than bone chinaware) and a similar amount in more durability (compared to porcelain), the cost-savings and added value potential, to restaurants, of sea shell chinaware are substantial.

Royal Pearl® China is a unique collection of shell chinaware specially designed by Malton of England. The main raw material consists of naturally harvested empty shells carried in by the tides of the ocean. This rich sustainable and natural resource of discarded shells is gathered from shorelines, the clearing of which enables local communities to keep the beaches accessible, pristine and welcoming for leisure, cultural and tourism purposes. All gathering of shells is carried out ecologically and in full co-operation with local environmental and marine protection agencies. The manufacturing site is modern and efficient and provides socially responsible employment. It is also a full member of both the technical enterprise association and a member of the national tourist hotel association. Its management team also actively assists and works closely with the faculty of a local university to encourage youth training and sponsors a development programme involved in environmental and sustainable studies. With a registered capital of 8 million US Dollars, the factory is focused on manufacturing the highest possible quality products, whilst providing safe and fulfilling employment, improving energy efficiency, reducing and minimising pollution, encouraging cultural creativity and using only sustainable, natural raw materials. Since its conception in 1995 the shell china factory’s progress has been a steadily improving procession of achievement meeting a growing demand from discerning clients who insist on quality combined with ethical compassion and resource responsibility.

ROYAL PEARL - CARE & HANDLING - GUARANTEE Royal Pearl shell china, along with high quality porcelain and bone China, is actually the strongest of ceramic dinnerware materials. They are fired at the highest temperatures and are made of the strongest ingredients. So you can use your finest shell china as often as you wish with as much confidence, or more, as your "everyday" tableware. Royal Pearl shell china is both microwave* and dishwasher safe. However, as with all high quality and beautifully crafted dinnerware, and tableware, they deserve care and respect.

Although very strong, porcelain, bone and shell china are still breakable if abused. Royal Pearl dinnerware is oven and microwave-safe*; plus detergent, refrigerator and freezer-safe, certain precautions should be taken. ● Avoid any sudden temperature change, such as putting a hot item into cool wash water. ● Never expose your dinnerware to direct flame, such as the top burners of a gas stove. ● Always be sure that every piece contains food or liquid before it is exposed to heat.

● Do not overload your dishwasher. Not only do you risk chipping or breakage, but your dinnerware will not be cleaned efficiently because the water and detergent will not reach all surfaces. ● Never use detergent excessively. ● After the drying cycle, let your tableware cool down to room temperature before handling. The heat temporarily softens metal such as gold or platinum. ● Never put anything with metal (gold or platinum in the pattern or on the rim) in the microwave oven. *Excluding metallic patterns
