MISS BLACK NEW JERSEY WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE NIGERIAN HEALTHCARE FOUNDATION FOR BEING A FACE OF HOPE FOR SO MANY INDIVIDUALS BOTH HERE IN THE US AND ABROAD! The Nigerian Healthcare Foundation donated endless support and resources throughout this year and provided the Miss Black New Jersey USA organization the opportunity to touch many more lives than we can ever imagine. For that we are forever grateful!

About the Nigerian Healthcare Foundation

A journey started in 1995 by Dr. Livinus Iwuozo Obilo as a simple family trip has today turned into an organization that tends to approximately 1,000 patients over a 2-week period – every summer! The Nigerian Healthcare Foundation, Inc. was established to highlight the urgency of healthcare issues in Nigeria and to focus on bringing necessary healthcare relief to the most populous country in Africa. NHF’s mission remains to support and conduct medical services; combat the spread of disease and unnecessary death; and, to prevent community deterioration by improving healthcare conditions within the Nigerian population in Africa. Without the proper facilities, many people will remain at-risk of suffering and dying from completely treatable and curable sickness and disease. Each year the Nigerian Healthcare Foundation assembles a team of both health care professionals and non-healthcare professionals as volunteers along with the resources to treat and feed over 400 patients daily during our 2-week mission trips. The annual mission trip would not be possible without the help of a dedicated mission team. Despite the vast differences in environment and culture observed, NHF volunteers return home and fine the experience truly rewarding.
