Social Media Manager Certificate Program - Essential Tools Edition With Jen Vondenbrink This program is designed for Marketing Professionals with existing knowledge of social media platforms and practice. Social media managers today need to do more than post interesting articles on social sites. They need to build targeted marketing plans that engage their audience while achieving the goals of the businesses and nonprofits they serve. In addition, social media managers need to have a solid working knowledge of the ever changing platforms they use, while monitoring long term trends and other social channels to advise their organizations on future plans. This program is designed to give all who attend the tools, resources and experience they need to develop and implement a social media marketing program in their organization. The structure is as follows: What’s New On Your Favorite Platforms (and what may be coming in 2017) February 23rd - 1:00-5:00 PM From Facebook to Snapchat, platforms are always evolving. In this four hour session we discuss the latest updates to the platforms and how they can affect your social media plan. This is not a deep dive into the platforms. A working knowledge of the platforms is required. Social Media Trends for 2017 and Targeting Your Market March 23rd - 1:00-5:00 PM You begin the process of building your marketing plan by gathering the resources and tools you will need. In this four hour session, we discuss important trends for 2017 such as the rise of mobile marketing, and image focused marketing. We explore the intricacies of determining and understanding your target market. Homework for this session will be to gather materials, content, etc. you need to build your plan in the upcoming session. Building Your Social Media Marketing Plan April 6th - 1:00-5:00 PM This hands on session requires you to dive deep into building your social media plan. This is not a theoretical workshop, but an interactive working session. You are given the tools you require to build the plan. You use the tools along with the information for an upcoming campaign to not only build, but discuss your plan with the group. The expectation is participants begin to build and potentially begin to schedule their plan during the session. Virtual Check-in Date to be Determined This virtual check-in allows you to bring your campaign to the group to discuss what worked, what didn’t and what you can do to improve the process.
All classes will be held at Nantucket Community School, 56 Centre Street. Cost for all classes is $250. Space is limited. To register visit www.nantucketcommunityschool.org or call 508-228-7285 x1571.
