Dental Radiation Safety

This one day course satisfies the Virginia Board of Dentistry’s Radiation Certification requirement (18VAC60-30-80), thus enabling individuals certified to take dental x-rays in Virginia. This course will not provide clinical competence in taking x-rays. The emphasis of this course is on the safe use of x-ray equipment. Clinical competence by students in making dental radiographs is not an expected outcome of the class. Attendees must be fluent in the English language. If you are more than 10 minutes late to class you will be denied entrance.
