In Loving Memory Lesley Ann Merritt 4-H members, she significantly increased the number of sheep shown at the Barnstable County Fair on Cape Cod. Additionally, she was responsible for bringing small groups to the National Suffolk Show in Lima Ohio, followed by the one held in Kalamazoo Michigan. Survivors include her Husband Gardner of Lexington, Oklahoma, son Jason and his spouse Carla of Moore, Oklahoma. Two grandchildren, Tyler of Culbertson, Nebraska and Heather of Moore, Oklahoma. She also leaves three sisters and one brother: Wendy Redmon of Alabama, Mary Jo Gaines, esley A. (Gaines) Merritt, 74, passed away Sydney Gaines and Robert Gaines Jr. of Wednesday (09/29/2021) at The University Guilford, Vermont. She was preceded in death of Oklahoma Medical Center in Oklahoma by her daughter Desiree Gaines. City. School and received her associates degree from Greenfield Community College. Lesley loved animals, in particular her Suffolk and Montadale flocks that she continued to raise after her son Jason, joined the United States Air Force. She spent much of her time showing and promoting the Suffolk and Montadale breeds. Lesley was committed to youth in agriculture first by starting and leading a 4-H Horse Club for her daughter Desiree and multiple Franklin County youths with equine interests. Later, working with her son Jason and members of his 4-H Sheep Club she committed to expanding their horizon’s by attending sheep events outside of the local area. Working with
