oung City project in Gdansk is a unique opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind waterfront development.
Thee development of the shipyard area and its surroundings not only has the potential to transform into a vibrant livable district, but also to once and for all bind the historically divided city infrastructure together. It has the prospect to be a flourishing waterfront district in close vicinity to the City Centre. In order to unfold and conceptualize these possibilities, our proposal begins with the following three strategies: Remember- to reinforce social and historical qualities of existing buildings, Reconnect- to integrate the Young City with Gdansk, and Reimagine - to activate heritage is a catalyst for urban life.
