President U Thein Sein leaves for Japan to attend ASEAN-Japan Summit, Japan-Mekong Summit Nay Pyi Taw, 12 Dec — President U Thein Sein and party left here for Yangon before their departure for Japan to attend the ASEAN-Japan Summit to mark the 40th Anniversary of ASEANJapan ties and Japan-Mekong Summit at 9 am today. They were seen off at Nay Pyi Taw Airport by Vice-Presidents Dr Sai Mauk Kham and U Nyan Tun, Commanderin-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, the Union ministers and officials. At 10.10 pm today, the President and party left for Tokyo via Yangon by the passenger flight of All Nippon Airways (ANA). Yangon, 12 Dec — Myanmar won gold medal in individual shooting contest and silver medal in team shooting contest of 50-M Women’s Rifle Prone event at the 27th SEA Games today. A total of 18 participants including Thu Thu Kyaw, Aye Aye Thin and Than Than Saw of Myanmar took part in 50-M Women’s Rifle Prone event at International Shooting Range in Dagon Myothit (North) Township this morning. Thu Thu Kyaw seized gold in individual event and Myanmar bagged silver in team event. Thu Thu Kyaw, an employee of Fire Services Department, was a gold and bronze medalist in SEASA held in Malaysia and Open Championship in Thailand. MNA
