Britney Loy Portfolio
About Me Britney Loy I am a senior at Lakeside High School, and I also take classes at National Park Technology Center. I’m an outgoing, bold, adventurous, caring, intelligent, confident, encouraging, and colorful person. I participate in many activities including swimming for the Lakeside swim team. I’m also involved in woman’s empowerment club, Upward Bound, and SkillsUSA. Also, I like to listen to music, learn new things, and play with animals. I also enjoy singing, painting, drawing, and meeting new people. In addition, I love to create art of all forms and would love to be a graphic designer and/or artist.
Imagine Illustrator The objective was to create a logo for CAE 5K Glow Run, so I used a light bulb to represent imagine (what they wanted to call it) because it represents illumination and ideas which worked perfectly for the word “imagine.
Red Hot Chili Peppers Illustrator The objective was to create a poster or album cover for a band, so I decided on the Red Hot Chili Peppers. I wanted to incorporate an image of the band members, so I used outlines of them. I used red to direct the view from the album name, to the chili pepper, and to the band.
KUHS T-Shirt Photoshop A local radio station requested my class to make a logo and t-shirts when they changed their frequency. I wanted to incorporate the lines in the back to look like sound waves.
Low Poly Illustrator The objective was to recreate a living being using only triangles. I chose a toucan, and I made each section stand out by strategically placing the triangles and by picking different contrasts of colors.
Principles of Design Illustrator The objective was to create an art board for each of the principles of design. I had to pick a quote, backgrounds, and an element to repeat. I love nature, so I picked a flower and pin-tooled it. I then used these elements to represent each of the design principles and arranged them into a poster.
Mutant Photoshop The project consisted of picking four animals and combining them into one using Photoshop. I put a panda head, oryx legs, and a tiger tail on a zebra body. I filled the zebra stripes with tiger stripes and let the zebra nose and ears appear through the panda face.
Typography Photoshop The objective was to design a page with one word repeated on it. I used a picture of a waterfall, blurred it, and put a texture over it. Then I repeated the word ‘LOVE’ to design the page.
Grunge Photoshop I did a personal project using shapes, textures, and patterns to create a zig-zag wall of sorts.
Painting Design Illustrator The objective of this project was to combine a great quote with imagery that highlights the quote. I chose a high-contrast color palette to grab the viewers’ attention. I added texture and repeated shapes and patterns to add more “design elements to the image.
Elements of Design Photoshop The objective was to take pictures, edit them in Photoshop, and put them on a poster. My pictures were inspired by raw, rustic aspects (mostly nature). I placed them in an oval shape and repeated them for flow. I chose to have the pieces radiate out from the center to balance the page.
Personal Logo Illustrator The objective was to create a logo that represent myself. I used a picture of me to show my fun personality, and I used green for nature and blue for the sky. I kept it simplistic and clean, so I didn’t add too many elements. I feel the final image is a good representation of my personal identity.

SkillsUSA T-Shirt Illustrator The objective was to make a design for SkillsUSA and NPTC. I used NPC colors to relate to the school and a mouse arrow to relate to graphic design.
