Pin Design

This is a pin I designed for my Graphic Design class. I based this design off graffiti on a chunk of wall. When I was brainstorming I didn’t have a lot of thumbnails to choose from, but It wouldn’t matter anyways, I was not really trying to impress anyone so I just went with this one; the one I liked the most. Actually, all my thumbnails were bad, I think I did choose the best thumbnail.

Band Poster

Wanted to make a depressing poster, which I kind of achieved. I drew the roses in the background and blood coming from the skulls eye, but I didn’t draw the skull it was a free to use image. The text is bright like that and in odd colors, because the original color for the text was going to blend in too much, so I had to use different colors.

Mutant Animal

Hmm…. could have been more creative on my part, but I guess it’s fine. For some reason I feel like this mutant animal will murder me, is that weird? No… Right? Anyways, this project was fun for the most part. We had to combine four or more animals to make a mutant. Eh, the project was a little bit hard for me to get it how I wanted, but it worked out in the end.

KUHS T-Shirt Design

This design was for the t-shirt contest KUHS had. I really wanted to have something like this on a shirt, but It didn’t get picked. Oh well, this was kind of easy I just put a picture of a trumpet and a tree on the t-shirt.

Low Poly Illustration

It’s a hedgehog. We had to make animals out of triangles, which took too much time to do. We also had to use the animals natural colors. I wouldn’t really call this one easy, but it was fun. I still like the hedgehog even If I couldn’t make it purple. The fur on the hedgehog looks weird in the middle, the eyes make the animal look soulless, and some of the triangles with the same combine into a different shape. Still I love my little hedgehog, even with all the imperfections.

Pop Art

Just followed a pop-art tutorial with a different picture for this project that is all. I don’t actually like this project that much. I did choose the photo I used, because I thought the dude looked nice were the picture is just a front view and not a side view, in my honest opinion side views are weird.

Graphic Design T-Shirt

A random shirt design inspired by Karen (Plankton’s wife from SpongeBob). I wanted to do a t-shirt that was “graphic” for a pun, but was not allowed to put anything too graphic, so I just put Karen getting a mug-shot on this shirt. Mug-shots aren’t that graphic I think. I really messed up on the mug-shot lines they are not supposed to look like that, the lines need to be closer with numbers in multiples of 5 and it looks like there is no floor.

Warhol Poster

Used the same image I had for the pop-art, just made it into a multi-color mess. Its uneven on the side if you look very closely, I think I made all the screen shots different sizes. I can’t really help the unevenness if I tried to make them all the same size it would look wonky. Actually, maybe if I cropped them first all into the same size maybe it would have been better.

Branding

I made a personal logo that is a pastel colored flower and put it on some office items for a branding image. I don’t really think it’s great, but its whatever really. I made 20 thumbnail sketches, but I only liked 3 of them which were not that great. To be honest I prefer something with a lot of detail, yet most logos are simple and that’s not what my personal wants.
