Paige’s Portfolio
Pop Art Project For this project, I had to pick a celebrity or a well-known person ( I chose Maya Angelou ) and used Photoshop to turn the picture into a comic book styled portrait.
Warhol Project In this Warhol inspired project, I used the same person ( Maya Angelou ) from the Comic Book Project and used Photoshop to turn their portrait into a Warhol style painting that also emphasized color theory.
Mutant Animal Project In this project I used Photoshop to blend at least four different animals into one mutant animal and make it as realistic as possible. I chose a rabbit, a squirrel, a wolf, and two different deer. I feel this image showcases some of my Photoshop abilities.
For this project we got to choose an image of an animal and use only triangles to create a low poly style image of the chosen animal. We also had to choose a new background and attempt to make the images blend together as much as posible.
Low Poly Project This was the original image with the triangle layout over it, before the triangles were filled in and the the new background was added.
Typography Poster For this project, I had to choose a word and make a typography poster. This word had to vary in size and position while following imaginary gridlines. I chose the word “Calm to represent one of my personality traits.
Personal Logo In this project I had to create a personal logo. I used my name and replaced a character with a flower. I felt that adding the flower and leaving the design simple showed my personality a bit.
Principles of Design For this project, I had to create multiple designs made up of the same (specifically chosen) elements and use those elements to create a design that followed the rules and priciples of design. I chose the sun and moon and combined them with the yin and yang symbol to represent balance.
Tiny Idiot The story behind this picture is pretty simple and understandable to anyone who owns a cat. I was outside trying to take some pictures and I wasn’t paying enough attention to my cat. Cue following me around and screaming until I finally give in and give him attention. In his excitment, he bumped his head on the porch railing trying to get pets. This was taken seconds after he bumped his head.
The Trash Gremilins Unhelpful Assistant Again, when you ignore a cat, expect to have company with you everywhere. In an attempt to help, Muffin proceeded to get in every shot and mess with any props I had. After some failed attempts to get a picture of a flower without a tail or a nose in frame, I turned the camera on my little assistant. In this picture, Muffin has her eyes on a squirell in the tree above.
Alpine Aster Wild Flowers After wandering around my backyard, I stumbled across a bush of purple, pink flowers that I later found out were Alpine Aster Flowers. I snapped a couple pictures until I had one I was satisfied with.
Plants Being Their Very Best Cluster O’ Shrooms One day when I was walking in the woods, I found a small cluster of red mushrooms. I hadn’t seen much red mushrooms this summer, so I took this oppurtunity to take some pictures. The mushrooms were very small so I had to crouch quite a bit to get a good shot.
Thanks For Viewing My Portfolio! A LittleAbout Me Hi, I’m Paige! I’m currently a senior in high school and I attend college classes. When I’m not hanging with my cat, I spend most of my time thrifting, crafting, and hanging out with my friends. Some things that make me happy include plants, Indie music, crystal collecting, hoarding fluffy blankets, and the color yellow.
