National park Holiday Card
My Holiday Card in Use
I was told to make a holiday card for National Park College and was told that it was going to be a competition, and the first place prize is your card gets sent out as the college’s holiday card to all their associates. I won 1st place and got my picture in the newspaper!
t-shirt logo I needed to make a t-shirt that could be used for SkillsUSA. I did this by using a quote that really interested me and dealt with graphic design. I wanted to make something that would be calming, but still show design so I used my knowledge of different tools and remade them as part of my logo.
Low poly project In this project I was tasked to make a real life animal or insect into a low poly creation. I chose to use the peacock spider, because they are very beautiful and overall fun to look at.
This is some progress made onto this project, you can start to see the triangles filling out the spider.
This is the tree limb that my spider would end up sitting on, I had to find something that the spider would normally sit on and make it look like it was actually sitting there.
Andy Warhol poster project
Close up of the face
This project required we take a modern portrait picture, remake it, and then make a poster that resembled the work of Andy Warhol. I did some research to see how Warhol liked to make his work, and found that most of his works had repeated portraits just in different colors. So using my newly found knowledge I decided to copy that and changed hue and saturation on each portrait to make it look different.
Band album cover redesign
I wanted to make one of my favorite artist’s album cover look better than it already did, so I took the original and pulled out the stuff I didn’t like, which was mostly the background, and replaced it with what I thought fit the title more. I used Illustrator for this project and it took me about a week to do, but I was really pleased with the outcome.
Kuhs radio logo A local radio station contacted me and wanted me to make them a new logo, since they were switching frequencies. I made this come to life by making my design incorporate headphones, and create the idea that you were listening to their radio station through your phone.
These are different logo iterations that I came up with to give the station multiple options but keep the same theme of using a phone.
Personal logo From last year
My personal logo in use
I was making a website to put some of my work onto, and needed to make a logo that would represent me on that website so I decided to make my own. In this process I made multiple different logos that I liked, however most of them didn’t really fit my personality, so I reflected and realized that simple is better. I came up with the idea just to use my initials and keep the logo professional and clean.
personal logo now This year I wanted to redesign my logo and make it better with all my newly found knowledge, so that’s what I set out to do, and it came out very nicely if I do say so myself. I wanted to keep it around the same concept, but I also wanted to make it unique. So with my inspiration in mind I decided to keep the idea of the initials but I wanted to make it more personal to me, so I added my middle initial “N and made them all connect, to give it a sleek and smooth look.
Personal LOgo Now Process
Elements of Kuhs radio logo design poster I had to take pictures on my phone put them into photoshop and then edit them so that they showed the different elements of design this was one of my early projects in my career but I am still very proud of it.
These are the pictures before editing and after editing.
personal photos
These are just a couple pictures that I have taken and edited with Photoshop, I wanted to have some good background images for a desktop and decided on these.
This is a picture that is supposed to show form, and as you can see from the shadows and the upwards motion it does. This is a picture that is supposed to show form, and as you can see from the shadows and the upwards motion it does.
