HURRICANE hurricanes, I was on my way to florida in october of 2005, looking at all the pictures on Facebook and I kept scrolling down the new feed, and saw a whole bunch of people posting pictures of winds, and enormous waves crashing into the sea wall. Also, news maps of a hurricane crashing into Southern Florida , where I was going. In the captions on the pictures it said the awful storm is called Hurricane Wilma. It was coming on October 24, 2005. I could tell that it was going to be a powerful one. I showed my mom all the pictures and she turned the radio on was listening. I heard my mom discussing whether we should stay in Florida, or go back home. We all decided we should move a couple states up to be safe. So it was even longer trip in the car. We decided to go to Kentucky in stead of Florida. We had to sit in the car and explain what a hurricane is and what it can do, to my little sister and we said that it’s like a tornado. When the warm moist water gets mixed with decending air and starts to turn. The hurricane had effects all over the country, with heavy rain(s) and storms
