NSCC CHAMPIONS AWARD HONOREE
In recognition of PHILANTHROPY & VOLUNTEERISM
The Bertolon Family From education to health care and beyond, Beverly residents Donna and Henry Bertolon, along with their children, are dedicated local philanthropists transforming opportunities for North Shore communities. Through the Bertolon Family Foundation, they are investing the largest philanthropic gift in the history of North Shore Community College to establish The Bertolon Simulation Health Care Center of Excellence, with new state-of-the-art simulation labs and advanced health care technology to enhance career training and employment for NSCC students. Located in NSCC’s Health Professionals Building at its Danvers Campus, the Bertolon Center will enhance the College’s Allied Health programs and select Human Service programs, increasing enrollment, completion and job placement rates for students. The greater community will benefit as well, with even greater provision of quality health care on the North Shore. Donna is a graduate of NSCC, Class of 1972. The Bertolon Family hopes their gift and their strong belief in the importance of the community college system will inspire others to join them in supporting NSCC.

NSCC CHAMPIONS AWARD HONOREE In recognition of COMMUNITY IMPACT
The Solimine Family David J. Solimine Sr., David J. Solimine Jr. and Joel C. Solimine, owners of Solimine Funeral Homes in Lynn, have been strong supporters of the NSCC Foundation scholarship program and special projects at the College for decades. Recognizing a growing need for accessible, affordable education and training within their industry, they recently approached North Shore Community College to explore opportunities to partner and make an impact in this area. Together, the Solimines are serving as lead advisors on a new Funeral Service associate degree program launching this fall at NSCC, featuring a newly renovated laboratory for hands-on training and dedicated classroom space at the Danvers Campus. This affordable program will educate and train the next generation of funeral service providers for the region, with the goal to expand and diversify trained professionals in this field for the very best provision of services to the greater community. The Solimine Family is a pillar of the city of Lynn. David Sr., David Jr., and Joel’s community service and philanthropic leadership as local business owners and area residents exemplify the spirit of partnership and generosity to build a vibrant North Shore region for all.
