2017
will be the first full publication year for Macmillan Collector’s Library.
We are publishing seventy carefully chosen books, all of which contribute to a superb range of fiction, non-fiction, anthologies, poetry, and children’s classics. Fifteen of this year’s books are completely new to the imprint. Highlights in January include H. G. Wells and the first two volumes of James Herriot’s Yorkshire memoirs. In May we have C. S. Forester’s classic adventure, The African Queen; and in September, the much-loved children’s novel, Five Children and It. We’re also reissuing fifty-five bestselling backlist titles, all with beautiful new jackets. Favourite authors include Oscar Wilde, Jules Verne and the Brontës in March, Mark Twain in May, Graham Greene and Robert Louis Stevenson in July, and Virginia Woolf in October. And in every publication month you’ll find more of our bestsellers, from Frankenstein to Madame Bovary to The Go-Between. Whether people collect our beautiful pocket editions or give them as presents, Macmillan Collector’s Library books offer something to entice every kind of book lover.
