Mayor’s Welcome Welcome to the Centennial edition of the 22nd annual Harmony Arts Festival in West Vancouver. This year’s festival runs from August 3–12, and has something for everyone. The festival is a celebration of art–performing, visual and culinary arts–and will showcase the work of more than 400 talented artists and artisans. There are also over 100 musical and dance performances and the always-popular Art Market will return on each of the festival’s two weekends.

WEST VANCOUVER MUSEUM ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The festival is more than a celebration of artists; it’s also a celebration of culture and community and a perfect venue to continue our conversation about what the future of Ambleside should look like. We already have a thriving arts community on the Ambleside waterfront and as we move forward with revitalization initiatives, we want to ensure that Ambleside’s artistic legacy is woven into the fabric of the future. I look forward to continuing the conversation and hearing from members of the public about what the Ambleside of tomorrow means to them. The success of the Harmony Arts Festival is due largely to volunteers, staff, and sponsors who work so hard to make it happen every year. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to the festival’s presenting sponsor for the past 11 years, Odlum Brown, without whom the festival could not be the marquee event that it is. In West Vancouver, we are lucky to have a private sector that cares so much about the community. I look forward to all of the sights, sounds, and savory samples at this year’s festival, not to mention the Grosvenor Waterfront Lounge. Enjoy the festival! See you all on the waterfront!
