藝文中心主任序言:

藝術,是走出自己的步伐;以新角度重新觀看、重新發現。臺大粉樂町是一個鼓勵大 家在漫步校園的同時,重新體認美的活動,由十多件作品串連起來的路線,是一條從沒走過 的路,路上有隱匿的驚喜,及嶄新的視野。殷海光形容知識份子是「時代的眼睛」,重要的 或許不是我們看見了什麼,而是我們有沒有打開眼睛,見證藝術家所帶來不同的藝術面貌。 正如羅丹的名言:「我們不是缺乏美,而是缺乏發現。」

在殷海光的時代,他以筆的力量來對抗言論思想禁制;今天,藝術家們則以多元的創 作做為發聲的管道,訴說各自的故事。在一所大學中,自由的意識,是我們最珍貴的寶藏之 一。藝文中心以這樣的態度,持續嘗試為校園注入豐富的藝術養分與氛圍。不同的是,這次 作品移到公共空間裡,走向你我,傳達它的訊息。也許你不會喜歡每一件作品,但正如逛一 間美術館,我們各自找到引起自己共鳴的作品,手中那條美感的線,終究是要與生活經驗交 集,才能在那相遇的瞬間引發美的火花。

這次參與臺大粉樂町的藝術家包含Filthy Luker(英)、黃法誠、涂維政、任大賢、 澎葉生(法)、蔡宛璇、李柏毅、王艾莉、蔡潔莘、金明範(韓)、松枝悠希(日)等11位 活躍於當代藝術領域的新生代創作者,帶來雕塑、繪畫、聲音、攝影、裝置等多種媒材的作 品,其中更包含獨家為臺大空間打造的新創作,令人期待。臺大今年邁入第85個年歲,人文 與歷史是我們引以為傲的資產;同時,我們也樂於與年輕藝術家接軌,望見不一樣的角度, 交流不同的美感價值。

先秦時期有編鐘、編磬之類的樂器,其源流可推溯比孔子更早的時代,一個以「和」 為美、強調「和而不同」的音樂美學的時代。英國學者以1997年香港回歸中國的藝文晚會為 例,比較東西方思維的不同。英國演出的曲目皆以獨奏樂器為主軸呈現,中國的演出則包含 了必須由多人一起演奏的編鐘。編鐘音樂的特質反映了「和而不同」的美麗。孔子的時代動 盪不安,士大夫仍熱切討論著什麼是理想的社會。美,看似一個空泛的概念,其實往往是透 過不斷的追尋與磨合而來,得來不易。

這次與富邦藝術基金會合作的機會也非常難得,今年粉樂町在東區展出時的主題為「 和諧」,作為雙方合作的目標尤為貼切。在策畫過程中,我們彼此充分溝通,消除藩籬,像 是彼此調整頻率與音高,合奏一首完美的曲子。這是一次大學與企業的合作,過程中也仰賴 校內多個單位彼此配合才得以完成,我們有共通的目標與夢想,期望在美的旅程中聽到不同 的聲音與激盪。


Message from the Chief Director: Art is to walk in one’s own way, to look from a different aspect, and to discover a whole new world. NTU Very Fun Park is an activity that encourages everyone to amble around the campus and experience beauty in a new way. More than 10 art pieces displayed on campus form a special route you have never taken before. Following the route, you can find hidden surprises and brand-new views. Professor Yin Hai-Kuang once described intellectuals as “the eyes of an era.” Thus the right question is not what we see, but are our eyes opened or not? Do we see the various faces of art created by the artists? As Auguste Rodin said, “Beauty is everywhere. It is not that she is lacking to our eye, but our eyes which fail to perceive her.” In Prof. Yin Hai-Kuang’s age, he fought for the freedom of speech with his powerful writing; today, artists tell their own stories by all kinds of art creation. The most precious thing a university could have is the freedom of thought. NTU Center for the Arts holds that belief and keeps working on creating the atmosphere of art to rich the campus. This time in a different way, the art pieces are displayed in public places, to tell us their stories more closely. You might not be fond of every piece of art, but just as in a museum, we can always find the very one artwork which echoes our feelings. Only when the beauty of an artwork corresponds with our life experiences, can the encounter strike a chord. There are 11 artists joining our “Very Fun Park” program at NTU, including Filthy Luker (UK), Huang Fa-Cheng, Tu, Wei-Cheng, Jen Ta-Hsien, Yannick Dauby (France), Tsai Wan-Shuen, Leland Lee, Alice Wang, Tsai Chieh-Hsin, MyeongBeom (Korea), Yuki Matsueda (Japan). They are all excellent art creators of the new generation and very active in the field of contemporary art. They are going to showcase a diversity of art works such as sculptures, paintings, sounds, photography and devices. They will also create new designs exclusively for NTU – a fantastic display that you should not miss. 2013 marks the NTU’s 85th anniversary. It is NTU’s boast that the university has humanity and history as its important assets. It is such a great pleasure for us to collaborate with young artists, who will broaden our perspectives and share different aesthetic values with us.

Bianzhong (Bronze Zhong Bell) and bianqing (a set of L-shaped flat stone chimes) are two of the ancient Chinese musical instruments in Pre-Qin period. It was a period of musical aesthetics when “Harmony” was exalted and “Harmony in Diversity” was hugely appreciated. British scholars have compared the difference between Eastern and Western thinking by taking the evening banquet of the handover of Hong Kong in 1997 as an example. British people would tend to give solo music performance, while Chinese people would prefer playing bianzhong, which required a group of performers. The characteristic of Bianzhong music reflects the beauty of “Harmony in Diversity.” Confucius was born at a time when the ncient Chinese society was turbulent, while many educated elite or literati (shidaifu) were enthusiastically discussing what an ideal society should be like. Aesthetics, a seemingly abstract idea, is gradually given a concrete shape after numerous pursuit and trials. It is a concept which has gone through a laborious process. It is such a precious privilege for us to collaborate with Fubon Art Foundation. The theme of the “Very Fun Park” in Taipei’s Eastern District is “harmony” in this year. It is also the best expression for our cooperation goals. We have closely discussed our ideas with each other throughout the entire program, eliminating all possible obstacles. We collaborate in the spirit of playing a perfect song, after many tuning and adjusting pitch. This is a chance for the university to work with the enterprise. We thankfully appreciate the coordination among different offices on our campus. We share a goal together. We share a dream together. We sincerely look forward to attaining a variety of voices and sparks in this journey of aesthetics.


展覽簡介: 2012年上半年,藝文中心曾舉辦《把藝術當作動詞》系列講堂,邀請不同領域的 藝術家以實踐、走出教室為為主題,分享如何從生活中發現美,從此藝文中心持 續關注在大學學術場域中,能給學生如何的藝術能量與啟發。藝術在哪裡?大學 生應具備什麼樣的能力來「發現」藝術? 不論繪畫、雕塑、舞蹈、錄像、音樂或是混合多媒材的裝置,當代藝術是一種 發聲與表達,展現時代的樣貌與生活的狀態,如一所大學,當代藝術擁抱不同的 個體,擁抱知識的匯集。粉樂町原是臺北東區的夏日慶典,將國內外的藝術作品 置入街道、店家空間,讓居民與逛街的人與藝術奇妙相遇,增添空間的趣味與美。 延伸這樣的初衷,粉樂町與臺大藝文中心共同策畫,作品自城東來到城南;自都 會來到校園,這之中的移轉將融入臺大的觀點,帶入新的空間詮釋。 所謂大學,不僅是座小宇宙(University),更如同字面意義「Big Learn」,鼓勵年 輕人發掘喜歡的事物與空間。臺大的優點在於歷史人文的脈絡以及生態自然,在 這樣豐富的場域下,藝術作品注入校園之中,不但與原有空間相互輝映,也刺激 臺大人原先看待校園的視角。藝術往往發生在一個想法的轉瞬間。 已故臺大哲學系教授殷海光先生曾說:「人活著就是要追求真理;知識分子是時 代的眼睛。」展出的作品有如社會的縮影,呈現不同藝術家所關心的事物以及他們 所追求的真理、渴望。校內師生的駐足參觀也將是一種眼光與想法的交流。今年 年底臺大是一座無牆美術館,以尊重臺大主體性、不影響臺大歷史文化肌理的方 式,與臺灣新生一代藝術家相互觀話觀看,讓臺大師生一起領略每一件藝術作品 的新意,體會其中的藝術言語,以及美感的藝術經驗。

Introduction: Seeing Arts; Meeting Arts The intelligentsia is always the eyes of our age Contemporary art showcases the reality and life styles of our generation in various ways, for example, painting, dancing, video, sculptures, music and installation with mixed media. Like a university, contemporary art also embraces different individuals and integrates all sources of knowledge. “Very Fun Park” has originally been celebrated as a summer festival in the Eastern District of Taipei. Lots of international and domestic works of art have been put on splendid display at shops and streets. It is also a wonderful place for residents and travelers to meet each other, adding an additional sense of amusement and aesthetics. In order to enlarge the scale of this festival and to bring arts to more people, “Very Fun Park” and NTU Art have coorganized this special event from the eastern to the southern district of the city, where NTU is located. NTU’s ideas will be combined during this process, opening up a new way to welcome all possible interpretations. A university is not just a campus with boundary lines but a campus with a universesize of potential and possibility. Young people are encouraged to explore and discover interesting things as well as unknown space. What makes NTU outshine others is its uniquely rich history, deep connections to humanities and nature – an art cradle ideal for the coming on-campus art display. Not only can they enrich the campus, but they also inspire NTU students to look at their university with different perspectives. Just an inspiration, or a blink of the moment, is sufficient for art to get born into being. Yin Haiguang, a late professor in the Department of Philosophy at NTU, once declared that “To live is to pursue the truth. The intelligentsia is always the eyes of our age”. The exhibited works are a miniature of society, showing concerns of different artists as well as their pursuit of truth and aspirations. NTU staff and students can go visit the exhibition and share their opinions here. At the end of this year, NTU is going to be transformed into a wall-less gallery. Asserting its dignified individuality as well as independent history and culture, NTU will be joined by a group of energetic artists, creating chances for NTU staff and students to explore more new ideas in each work of art. 1960年代美軍駐防營區所設置的士官俱樂部,隨著歷史的更迭,曾經為臺大精品販售商店, 現則為管理學院的多功能生活廳。這棟外表樸素的平房,默默見證了時光流變,但隨著過往 回憶逐漸塵封,其故事卻不見得為人所知,藝術家黃法誠希望透過創作,重新訴說這段往日 時光。 黃法誠將背景拉回至美軍俱樂部時期,以其作品中代表著每一位你我他的角色「小明」為形 象發想:姿態各異的小明,兩兩一組在建築上旋轉著交際舞步,讓人遙想著當時熱鬧景象。 玻璃窗上的馬賽克窗花,則是利用來自該年代的老照片再加以後製處理,觀眾即便面對面望 著當時的場景,卻已無法輕易辨認,過往彷彿終究只能成為追憶。

The Non-Commissioned Officers Club (NCO Club) was built in the 1960s when the American defense forces were stationed in Taiwan. The building has been converted for various uses over the years, including from a university store to becoming the Multifunction Hall of the College of Management today. The humble-looking building has witnessed the gradual passing of time. However, as time goes by, the stories that it contains are slowing fading into history. Artist Fa-Cheng Huang is keen to capture the stories, and uses his creative hands to take visitors on a trip down memory lane. Huang creates a setting that harks back to a time when the NCO Club was the rage of the town. As with his previous works, this piece centers on Huang’s eponymous character – “Xiao Ming”, which is a generic Taiwanese name akin to a John or a Bob. In Huang’s work, clones of Xiao-Ming are depicted in classic ballroom dance poses. The illustrations represent a golden moment in the rich history of the NCO Club. Collages of pictures taken during the NCO Club era have also been placed on the windows. Yet, these pictures are only a glimpse into the past. Huang has, through the cutout illustrations of Xiao Ming, brought out the colorful mood and feel of a bygone era.

藝術家任大賢以雕塑為創作方向的過程裡,希望透過三角、圓、方三個基本形而衍生出的變化 中,尋求一個簡單與複雜的平衡點。在他的創作經驗中往往經由生活中的淺意識建構而成,在 習慣性的線性描繪下,將線條和線條組合而成的面投射到作品中。藉由創作中身體的勞動性以 及視覺經驗的感知,將生活中的無意識描繪具體化。以線性的元素為基礎,在創作中加入其他 元素,讓創作亦可簡亦可繁。 Ta-Hsien Jen aims to strike the perfect balance between simplicity and complexity through making sculptures of all shapes and sizes. His creativity is often inspired by his subconscious mind. Ordinary lines are more than ordinary, and are wielded by Jen into contours and curves. Jen also leverages on his observations and perceptions during the creative process to bring his subconscious thoughts to life. His work is flexible and adaptable, and the possibilities for a simple piece of work to metamorphosize into another are endless.

新生代藝術創作者蔡潔莘提倡「藝術」的生命,藝術不一定要有大道理,就是如此的簡單,才 能讓人們親近,產生情感與創造關係;而這進入人們生命中的溫度,也才是藝術真實存在的意 義。 《讓我們今天就擁抱吧―II 》,在展開雙臂的巨人身上,藝術家以天氣為想像,將擁抱化作 舒放心靈的姿態。今天的天空是什麼樣子?天晴?還是落雨?雨天不總是憂鬱,也許還有更多 浪漫;晴天不見得全然歡欣,或許還有些許想念。 此時此刻,外界是什麼樣的天氣?而你/妳是甚麼樣的心情? 無論是什麼,就從給彼此一個擁抱開始吧!

Budding artist Chieh-Hsin Tsai believes that art should be an integral part of life. Yet, she feels that art does not necessarily have to be grand. Art can be plain and simple, and it would serve its purpose if it allows people to bond with art. The true meaning of art should seek to encompass its approachability. “Let us hug each other today! – II” is made up of three friendly giants with outstretched arms. The giants are depicted in different weather conditions, and their hugs are designed to provide soothing comfort for the weary body and soul. What is the weather like today; is it rainy or sunny? Rainy days need not be depressing, for raindrops have an element of romanticism. Similarly, sunny days may not bring about cheer, for the warmth of the sun may not compare to the warmth of a cherished person. What is the weather today? How are you feeling right now? Whatever your answer may be, let’s just give each other a warm hug!

洪易的藝術氣息一向有著繽紛的鮮度,大膽而生猛,融合著對比色彩,時而似紋身圖騰、 時而似本土在地彩繪,在作品的展現上可以閱讀出他對於生活事物的幽默與觀察,手感線 條流露出自信,其細緻度與用色相佐成為作品風格。 藝術家以擬人化方式賦予此系列作品個人特色與想像空間,大貓以諧音的幽默,讓數字「 20」代表「愛你」,結合在地通俗文化之趣味,直率坦白的遍佈快樂與愛的情緒。在洪易 的藝術裡,可以像尋寶般驚喜不斷,透過細細尋覓與綿密的圖像細節,不難發現箇中所隱 含的趣味。

Yi Hung’s handiwork is immediately recognizable from his art pieces. Hung tends to take a bold and flamboyant approach, and personifies his artwork through brightly colored and cheerful designs. Hung’s “Big Cat” artwork stand outs due to its animated motifs, which some may resemble the tribal tattoos of Taiwanese aboriginals. The number “20” is acutely visible on the artwork, with the meaning lying in the Chinese pronunciation of “20”, which sounds similar to “love you”. Viewing Hung’s art is akin to a visual treasure hunt. Surprises are lurking within the designs of his art pieces, and they are surely to bring about smiles.

英國威爾斯出生的藝術家Tim Budden,十數年前因緣際會下造 訪了台灣,便再也離不開這塊可愛的土地。定居台灣後Budden 其實一直從事英文教師一職,但偶然在友人贈送的剪紙書中獲 得啟發,重拾孩提時期的藝術家夢想,將福爾摩沙的新奇生活 體驗,轉換為剪紙世界的無限想像。 旅店是旅人歇腳、喘息的空間,而藝術家運用花園的意象,回 應這樣一處風塵僕僕之後得以暫歇的避風港:僅有一牆之隔, 旅店便劃分出紛擾與寧靜,好比一座城市花園,隔離出一處讓 人們可以放鬆、思考、忘卻疲憊的小天地。花園內形形色色的 動物植物,靈感來自於臺大校園內豐富的小生態,依四季推移 生長或凋零,自成一生命旅程的縮影。

Tim Budden, a Welshman, visited Taiwan more than a decade ago as part of a trip. Tim could not resist the charm of the island, and has not left ever since. After settling down in Taiwan, Budden worked as an English teacher; however, he accidentally found inspiration in a paper cutting book that a friend gave him, which rekindled his childhood dream of becoming an artist. Budden’s cut paper artwork is intricate and richly detailed. They represent his interesting and strange experiences in Taiwan, and of his unique creativity. Budden’s artwork is located at the Just Sleep@NTU hotel. The hotel makes the artist think of a garden, as both offer a place of sanctuary where one can relax, reflect and forget. He also draws inspiration from the overall biodiversity of the NTU campus and has sought to depict a picture of serenity in his artwork. Imagery of various creatures and plants are evident in his cut paper artwork. It is a wonderful exhibit of the natural microcosm within the campus.

How to participate Please visit the exhibition at the Gallery of University History. Instructions for the activity will be listed at the exhibition site. The first 120 participants to successfully complete the mission will receive a photography artwork autographed by the artist. Please note that prizes are limited to one piece per participant.

從「環境切片」的概念出發,藝術家涂維政以《影 像銀行尋寶遊戲》,引導觀眾透過微觀的影像,攪 動你我的觀看習慣。在刻意仿古的中藥櫃裝置裡, 收納了120款藝術家在臺大校園中所拍攝的局部影 像照片,開放讓觀眾領取,再至校園中實地對照尋 寶找出原始拍攝點:這些刻意被放大的角落,既像 是校園的切片樣本、又像是一帖帖藥方,邀請觀眾 對周邊環境進行細微診察。透過地毯式的觀察與尋 覓,藝術家、觀眾與校園進行三方互動,發掘熟悉 環境未曾留意的迷人細節。

Based on the concept of “environmental sectioning”, Wei-Cheng Tu’s Image Bank is a display of magnified images. The intention behind the artwork is to change the way we view objects. Within the drawers on a replica of antique Chinese medicine cabinet, Tu has placed photographs of 120 various NTU campus locations. The twist is that the photographs in the drawers are magnified sections of the originals, and participants are encouraged to take a copy whilst hunting around the campus for the specific locations. The tripartite involvement of the artist, participants and the environment is an activity aimed at rediscovering the fascinating campus. It is also aimed at cajoling participants to view the NTU school grounds from different perspectives.

「話-語、音調、空白、訊息、隨機、延宕、遲疑......在電磁波頻流動中, 捕捉即將自意義間 脫逃的音色餘韻。」 閉眼聆聽時,您腦中是否能浮現比視覺更為自由而豐富的想像?在視覺當道的當代藝術領域, 藝術家澎葉生長期投入聲音與聽覺經驗的搜集、探索與創作;而蔡宛璇既是詩人,也從事造型 與影像創作。兩人的合作,實驗不同感官之間的交集,以及彼此觸發的可能。 走入文學院大廳,來自廣播AM調頻網的聲響細細流竄,隱約熟悉卻又無法精準辨別的斷句或詞 語,攪動著聽者面對語言的理解慣性。對應其聲音裝置,藝術家在拱窗玻璃上以線條與文字, 繪出從聲音過渡到語音間的種種面貌。天色映射窗外的景物,疊合了聲響與書寫,老建築的廊 道空間,打散了的片段,卻也悄悄串起漸遠漸忘的聽覺記憶。

Voices, pitch, silence, information, signals‌ in the midst of all the transmissions, one ought to capture a sense of meaning. Keep your eyes closed and let your imagination run free. Allowing one’s mind to wander is what Yannick Dauby and Wan-Shuen Tsai have set out to achieve in their artwork. Dauby has devoted his attention to exploring acoustics in the area of field recordings, musical compositions and improvised performances. His creative partner, Wan-Shuen Tsai’s body of work on the other hand, includes mixed-media installations, drawing, video and poetry. Dauby and Tsai have come together to explore the fusion of visual and audio art. It is a multidisciplinary experiment that seeks to provide different forms of interpretation. As one walks into the College of Liberal Arts, subtle sounds recorded from AM radio spectrum, deliberately interrupted or mixed, can be heard in the corridor. Familiar yet strange, the sounds challenge participants to reevaluate their perception of words and sentences. Alongside the audio installation, the artists have drawn and written on the glass of the old arched windows. As the reflection on the windows overlaps with the sounds and the writings, this mesmerizing installation invites participants to make sense out of an otherwise familiar memory. The installation prods participants to draw upon their memories; memories which may have been buried in the abyss of their minds.

李柏毅,天才畫家,用色大膽,構圖獨創,有著過目不忘的功力,每一 幅作品都讓人驚艷,年僅二十歲時被稱為世界最具天份的年輕畫家。他 的繪畫天份是上天的禮物,也是他向世界表達自己內心情感的一扇明亮 大窗。屏除了外在的紛擾眼光,從最單純、純淨的觀點來看世界,色彩 多元鮮豔但不衝突,李柏毅對於周遭的人事物與色彩十分的敏感,從最 直接的思考觀點來創作,自由自在的構圖,調配自己喜歡的顏色,他在 自己的畫作中,得到了最大的滿足。


Leland Lee is a young artist whose ingenious use of colors characterizes his work. Each art piece is a surprise in its own right, and Lee’s artworks tend to leave a deep impression in the minds of viewers. When he was only 20 years old, he was already proclaimed as one of the most talented emerging painters in the world. His talent is certainly a gift, and his artwork is a window from which Lee expresses his innermost feelings. Lee strips art down to its basic form, and strives to present a view of the world that is uncluttered, simple and pure. The colors that Lee uses are diverse and intense. Alice Wang’s artwork straddles across both fine arts and design. She uses both approaches to study human nature, emotions and the environment and does not shy away from dealing with serious topics. The idea for Quote Vendor came about from how the online community has grown used to short and simplified wording. Wang hopes to rekindle the habit of reading by sparking interest through thought-provoking quotes. In the same vein, the unexpectedness of Quote Vendor will interest book lovers to discover books they have yet to come across. Do take a bottle from the vending machine. It contains a meaningful passage, and may be a quote to spark a change!

Quotes on five different subjects – Love, Art, Adventure, Science and Business, will be distributed at random. The distribution is for free. Please go to the Very Fun Park’s information desk at the 1st Student Activity Centre to acquire a token. Use the token to obtain a free bottle from the Quote Vendor vending machine. Distribution is limited to 50 tokens per day, and to one token per person.

來自英國的街頭藝術家Filthy Luker,以一系列名為Art Attack的充氣作品,偷襲顛覆城 市裡一成不變的角落。天性古靈精怪的他,發現氣球是表現創意再好不過的方式:氣球對 大人小孩都有莫名的吸引力,而且就公共場域中的藝術介入來說,氣球顯然比塗鴉客的噴 漆罐來得柔軟、安全、又不會造成永久性的破壞,少了一點街頭霸王的蠻橫,多一點給城 市居民的幽默。走逛校園之間,意外發現Filthy Luker的骨碌碌大眼正從樹縫中注視,調 皮地邀請你轉動想像力,用不一樣的眼光來體驗這個區域!

Street artist Filthy Luker hails from the UK. Through a series called “Art Attack”, he has ambushed staid corners of cities by installing inflatable sculptures. Balloons have turned out to be the most well received medium: adults and children alike are wildly attracted to them. In a public setting, balloons are less harsh compared to graffiti as they do not create permanent damage—less arrogance and more humor for the locals. As you walk through the NTU campus, do not be surprised if you find a pair of eyes staring at you from between the tree branches. Filthy Luker’s work invites to take a fresh new look at the campus!

除了捷絲旅臺大尊賢館的《大貓》,法學院萬才館也可見藝術家洪易鮮豔明亮的雕 塑《鴨子系列》。萬才館座落於同學暱稱「黑森林」的綠地旁,在自然環抱下,池 塘水波粼粼、一旁樹影扶疏,對鴨兒們來說在適合不過了。藝術家在大膽趣味的用 色之中,手繪出帶有在地人文特色的紋飾與符號,帶有擬人化生動表情的鴨兒,獨 樹一幟卻仍能帶給觀眾溫暖的熟悉感、既當代又躍動著臺灣文化傳承,觀眾來到這 裡,不妨放慢腳步,呼吸藝術與綠意交融的芬多精。

Besides the vibrant Big Cat at JustSleep, artist Yi Hung’s signature bright-colored works can also be seen at Wan Tsai Research Hall (which is located in the middle of lush green on NTU campus). A lotus pond and grassy lawn make the location a perfect home for Hung’s animated Ducks. The complex design of the ducks highlights the rich details and imagery that is synonymous with Taiwanese traditional ornamentation. The somewhat personified animals are otherworldly yet familiar; contemporary, yet with a touch of legacy. The viewing public is cordially invited to enjoy the art while embracing nature.

你我可能都看過牙牙稚子在探索世界時的好 奇眼神-所有成人眼中的習以為常都是新鮮。 韓國藝術家金明範,也有這樣一雙如稚子的 眼,他放下了成長過程習得的常識、歸零了 生活當中的經驗法則,平凡的各色物品他都 側耳傾聽其微語,打開想像力的自由,隱喻 的聯想與代換都能信手捻來:例如燈泡裡向 日葵取代了鎢絲,是否能自成一個小小發光 體如太陽?又例如燭蕊,其點亮的星星之火 是否能比擬森林大火的烈焰、而化身為一株 焦黑的樹? 藝術家將無形的「力」綴以繽紛氣球,翻轉 為可見的有形;飛揚的氣球就如想像力的馳 騁,不受形體所限,而椅腳的缺憾也因此平 衡,成就了優雅與詩意。

The things that adults see every day are often taken for granted. Korean artist Myeong Beom Kim can relate to this daily occurrence, and he has adopted a curious, child-like perspective to represent his ideas. The intention is to create art pieces that rely less on experience and to eschew the convention for normality. His imagination has thus led him to make connections between various inanimate objects, such as a sunflower replaces a light bulb’s tungsten wire or a tree replaces a candle’s wick. Can the light bulb shine as brightly as the sun? Can the candle flame glow as intensely as a forest fire? In his artwork made specifically for Very Fun Park, Kim uses colorful balloons to transform a shapeless “force” into something tangible. The balloons are attached to a chair that is missing a few legs, thus balancing it out and giving this force a graceful and poetic visualization.

松枝悠希將平面圖案3D立體化呈現,表達出一種「不可能發生的狀態」。 因為父母在日本經營印刷公司,從小松枝悠希對印刷儀器和立體造型物的 興趣就比平面形式濃厚許多,但不可避免,他記憶中對於顏色與審美自然 深受父母影響,藝術家也希望能透過作品克服印刷行業的限制,呈現出一 種平面無法觸及的趣味。 他的作品輕巧的顛覆我們對日常生活物件的看法,從平面到立體的轉換, 把記憶中褪色的物件召喚出來,讓觀眾嘴角忍不住揚起微笑。

One of the themes of Matsueda’s artwork centers about shaping an “impossible moment”. To effectively illustrate this, he has constructed three-dimensional solids protruding out of two-dimensional planes. Matsueda’s parents own a printing company in Japan, but his interest has always been in the solidity of three-dimensional objects instead of the flatness of two-dimensional prints. His recent works depict such two-dimensional prints transforming and entering into three-dimensional curiosities. The artist inspires a sense of amazement as he seeks to overcome the rigidity of conventional printing. The work of Matsueda deftly overturns our existing knowledge about everyday objects. His three-dimensional artwork invites us to relook objects which have otherwise been overlooked. Such ingenuity brings about a smile from viewers.
