Project: BNH Hospital Location: Bangkok Thailand Working under TIERRA Design Duty: Design Year: 2015 Status: concept design Categories: competition Site Area: 6,248 sq.m.

This is a competition project which challenged me before I first joined Tierra design My responsibility was working closely with Design director to deliver the brilliant idea to the work. This project was one of the two nominees in the final round jury.

The hospital design competition which comes with the idea of environment concern. So I was in-charged to cooperate landscape idea into this architecture scheme.

Project: Saladang soi 1 Location: Bangkok Thailand Working under TIERRA Design Duty: Design and Production leader Year: 2014 Status: Completed Categories: Luxury condominium Site Area: 3,365 sq.m.

Project: The Estelle by Raimondland Location: Bangkok Thailand Working under SCDA Architects Duty: Design+Production Year: 2018 Status: underconstruction Categories: Luxury condominium Site Area: 3,270 sq.m.

Project: Hyatt Phnompen Location: Phnompan Cambodia Working under SCDA Architects Duty: Detail Designs and Produce the drawings Year: 2016 Status: Under Construction Categories: Commercial Plaza Site Area: 7,103 sq.m.

I was the lead designer of this project. My duty was doing the design from scratch by sketching layout plan and studying the space from building sketch up model including the detail works.

I was one man solo to this project, in chart of landscape architect. The state was started with concept design to the design development. The concept is a modern luxury and minimalist Japanese theme so all the details were inspired from Japanese form and elements. I was so lucky to have a chance to design something that out of SCDA style but still presenting the SCDA design language.

My work scope was more to softscape design, enhancing space by strategically selecting plant species and design the location to improve the space quality and create a visual approach. Also do the detail design with proportion study and selecting materials to match with overall mood.

I was involved in schematic design so my response was developing the design and provide a colonial language reflect to landscape details. Most of my design works were the top podium plan which being shown in this portfolio, including the proportion works, stone pattern&joint, neat details and the elements such as hotel front wall.

I developed the master plan sketch from the lead design architect by adding the landscape elements & details into sketch up model before handling to the visualizer for the animation. I also provided the planting species & hardfinish materials for the renders and the entire package.

This is my first start up project in SCDA. They wanted to know my design capability so they tested me by letting me solo worked on this project. The idea was connecting the hilly site condition and the flat ground floor building by merging the ramp and steps. The space was designed to fit with both passive and active activities (gathering space or special event).

This is the first project I had involved in a full responsibility. Also the first project which I have done without any assistants. I did all design concept to construction drawings and being a site coordinator when the construction was finished.

Mainly responded to my projects from conceptual design to the construction finished. Mostly involved in design coordination and on site design solving problems. This phase I was the leader of construction drawing teams.

Project: Photography Location: Around the world Duty: Year: 2016 Status: Categories: Site Area: Taking architectural photograph is my favourite habit while travelling. This activity help me to improve my perspective skill which relate to my landscape design presentation because I know how to make the rendering perspective become more interesting.

Project : South Marina Bay (Competition, 2012) A refreshment oasis in the heart of the urban district.

Client : Maple tree Investments Pte.,Ltd. Location : South Marina, Singapore Areas : 35,040 sq.m. Program : Landscape concept design competition Status : Be one of the last 2 companies which had been nominated to the final round jury. My Personal Responsibility : After brainstorming the concept, I generated the conceptual idea into the space in every floor plans. (I sketched and designed the whole project only the presentation has done by other colleagues.)

The flourishing green will flow out into neighbouring Central Linear Park and Marina Station Square. Commuters from the MRT station in south-east will be drawn towards the lively green heart which is accommodating at all times of the day. The idea is envisions the landscape to magically compliment the project’s landmark quality and become a new icon for Singapore. The crowning piece of the project will be a proposed halo shaped sculpture, suspended above the rainforest heart above the Sky Garden. Evocative of the buildings’ ribbons; a mountain cloud and in the evenings a glowing disk, the halo will provide much ephemerality to the project (see P2 on next page). The connection between the rainforest and the neighbouring context are at first suggested by the project’s patterned ground-scape. As the grained paving ground reaches the water channel, the paving bursts into large playful splashes of paving. The paving swirls and engulfs mounds of greenery, evocative of a rainforest floor. (see ground floor plan next page) The project’s entrances will form thresholds of beginnings and transport one from the expanse of the city into the project’s natural heart. The main pedestrian entrance will provide the strongest connection between the fluid rainforest to the surrounding urban grid (see P1 on next page). Experientially, the landscape and project combine will be an unfolding narrative reflecting a rich variety of experiences: iconic and intimate, contained and revealed, reflective and soft. overall perspective shows space relation

A halo of mist will cloud the green heart at intervals during the day, eminating a cool environment; a relief from the heat. In the evening, the halo will glow softly illuminating the green-heart beneath. Long fine fibre optic strands with LED tips are discretely threaded from the halo and will transform the night into a wispy sea of dancing lights in the breeze. Misted water will trickle down these threads glistening in the light like a chandelier.

P2

My Personal Responsibility : I was in-charged to integrate a landscape design into the site area by enhancing space and make it more interesting and more effective to the building concept. 5

The competition team consisted of our office director, 2 architects and me as a landscape architect. The concept is creating green open space to the community. We believe that creating natural atmosphere will be an additional way to enhance patient’s immunity from symptoms. The landscape concept creates a dramatically natural atmosphere by proposing the lush green park, the fresh green walls and the core feature which is the round fountain at drop off space. The round fountain is not only a welcomely spacial feature before step in the building but providing a fresh sound to distort vehicle noise. A dramatic look will be created when light gets through the open-ceiling and reflexes into the waterfall so it suddenly becomes a welcome-owner of this place.

Project : Saladang One resident (2014)

Client : SC Asset Location : Bangkok, Thailand Areas : 3,365 sq.m. Program : Luxury condominium Final Status : Completed Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole landscape including show flat exterior. Only the rendering views were done by other colleagues. Conceptual diagram The exclusively luxurious high-rise condominium in Bangkok. The design figure is forced to be very elegant and unique style. However, the site was small and most of the ground area having basement underneath so it was very challenged to design. What’s more, the requirement of LEED platinum certificate and the construction issues also important. Black and White are well represented for an attractive appearance. so, the focal point was defined by black marble cladding on one useful element in the space. because of the restricted area, the function requirements were cleverly integrated into all design elements. P1 P2

P1 Explanation of the feature wall concept which was inspired from the architectural facade, so that the unity and sense of belonging were created. P2 My 3D graphic rendering of front elevation shows the composition and the relationship between the entrance feature wall and building.

Front elevation rendering perspective

Lobby entrance and Water feature

P3

The inspiration of water feature came from the space condition which are the low ceiling and the under shading area. Obviously, plants could not survive. For a surrounding context, the noise from a street outside, the water curtain was crated to distort the noise. Also, introducing the 3 dimensional effects of the water feature that connect the black box (the strong element of architectural facade), so the falling waters was the linked part to combine white water feature and opposite black box (ceiling above) together to be the whole art work for this area. Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole landscape including show flat exterior. Only the rendering views were done by other colleagues.

P4

P5

P2 There was no space underneath the slab, so pool and planter boxes have to be raised up from the floor level. In this case, the infinity pool was to be proposed. The materials are to be minimized to share the same architectural finish which were playing with white and black marble in proportionally.

P4 Site photo : Kid pool which separate from the main pool but still link by visual connection

P5 Site photo : pool terrace shows the bounding between the black planter and the black bench to simplify the space.

P3 Site photo : Shows the seating area that can see the view of the green park

P2 This pocket garden have the same condition with the roof top swimming pool. All the elements have to be raised up from floor level, but green shades and garden theme have to be provided. Because of the very small and narrow space, the composition skill and sense of proportion is important to make this terrace garden more attactrive.

P4 Site photo : the L shape seating in the corner for the social interaction

Show flat My design was to implement the temporally build-in ;show flat structure. At this early stage, the architectural theme of black&white marble still under developing, so I treated the small landscape area to be the art work for this display space. Ofcourse the art piece have to look good from outside and inside the building. The sculpture was the combination of feature planter and gently slope of water feature. The hole from the roof was projected in double size of the round shape planting island, not only creating the connection of the unity of the design but also the light source for the tree to be survived. Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole landscape including show flat exterior. Only the rendering views were done by other colleagues.

10

Personal Responsibility : Detail developing, Planting Design and Presentation package I was working closely with Architect who specialised in Resort planing so I have learnt a lot for the space and transition strategy. So I contributed the space by planing the location of feature trees, including the variation of forms, shape of canopy and playing the contrasting of shrubs in term of form, texture and colours into the master plan. For the hardscape works, including the object elements such as water feature, wall pattern, feature spout, there were considered to be under the my detail design scopes.

Client : Hyatt regency Location : Phanom phen, Cambodia Areas : 7,103 sq.m. Program : Hotel design Final stage : Tender drawings Status : Under construction

Personal Responsibility : Detail and Elemental designs, presentation and Drawing package My second project in SCDA, My first task was to understand the colonial architecture and reflect it into the landscape design. With the site itself, the existing colonial house was preserved to be a hotel lobby so I did the mood images board by combining the strong existing elements with the colonial planting character and garden space. Most of my design works were the top podium plan which being shown in this page, including the proportion works, stone pattern&joint, neat details and the elements such as hotel front wall.

COLONIAL ARCHITECTURE Â is an architectural style from a mother country that has been incorporated into the buildings of settlements or colonies in distant locations. Colonists frequently built settlements that synthesized the architecture of their countries of origin with the design characteristics of their new lands, creating hybrid designs.

Personal Responsibility : full participation of entire design process, leader of construction drawing teams. This project was divided into 4 phases. -

Club house Main entrance and Internal road Retails (Commercial building) Phase 1 and green belt along the beach

This is the large mixed-use project which I fully participated as a senior project landscape architect. My responsibility was to look thoroughly to the design from the beginning concept to the construction drawing. Due to this project consists of high-rise resident, low-rise resident and commercial development. So the area was divided in to 4 phases and my tasks was to accomplish each area one by one over 2 years period. This project provided me an experience to work with a famous international company, Foster and Partner ,The architect of Club house and Retail Building. Moreover this project challenged me to take more concerned about design relationship and the adjacent phases. Not only I have learnt how to carry on the design language but also how to maintain the project’s consistency.

2. Club House (2012) Regarding the harmonisation between architecture and landscape design, Geometry and linear form were introduced in landscape by creating and enhancing the relationship between building and landscape.

LAY OUT PLAN SCALE 1:1000

The role of Club house will be like a friendly owner who always treats the special guests (in metaphorical way). The visual approach at the first arrival were designed by creating a feature fountain; which pretended like a transparent curtain and by raising an open lawn space to continue the approach directly to the beach also hidden the socialising pool space. An initial key concept was a very nice approach to the beach. The grand walkway from main drop off will interpenetrate through the building to the beach front which was going to be an intimate approach for our guests encouraging them to step out into the landscape scenery outside. 4. Phase 1 and green belt along the beach (2013)

The concept was introducing a lush green open space to the community and trying to soften the harsh concrete of the high-rise buildings. The irregular shaped centre courts which were formed by the buildings, hence the solution of using free-form shapes were the best for creating a nice visual landform and for making a flow-able space. There were a huge underground car-park underneath the site, so the softscape mounds not only help adding soil depth for big trees but also creating an interesting space. The overlapping between the mounds themselves can create various layers into the space, also enhance the pathway to be more interesting. A big colourful feature tree was planted individually in the enclosure space to enhance a visual attraction in the main court and be named by the name of the main colourful tree for each court. At the open lawn areas which connected to beach front, there were a formal approach to force the visual axis to the beach. The elements of curving green belt played as two branches to define the entry space from beach road to our project.
