Project: 15 Holland Hill Location: Singapore Working under RSD Duty: Project Manager Joining since: Oct 2020 Status: Design and Build Categories: Luxury condominium Architect: P&T Site Area: 6,248 sq.m.
My Personal Responsibility : I was in charged of this project during design and build stage so my main responsibility is to well understand the design intent, the contract and the scope of works then I communicate to clients, fellow consultants and contractors as a landscape consultant to make sure that every single details are not in a wrong interpretation and the quality of good designs are complied during the construction process. For Holland Hill, it is very challenging to me as there are many items that under provisional sum which meant I have to make a design proposal for all of them then let the clients approve, later I have to make sure that the cost is within the budget if not then the proceed need to go back again. Later I will have to coordinate with contractor as they will produce shop drawings for me to approve before the construction starts on site.

Project: Eco World Location: Bangalore India Working under RSD Duty: Design Manager Starting Year: Nov 2019 Status: Bidding Concept to Construction drawing Categories: Business Park Architect: DPA Site Area: 40,100 sq.m. My Personal Responsibility : I was a Design manage and a Project manager. I was working on this project since the conceptual design stage and I was the person who came up with the concept of paving pattern which is inspired from a movement of circulation, also, the sense of space formed the functions of the garden which is called “green rock” a centre of more than 10 activities happening at the greenery core of the building. Gateway (from the render above) was designed by me as it was similar concept as it was similar concept as green rock, the idea of forming space and functions. My challenging task is developing director’s ideas into the design and let it becomes practical in term of detailing and functioning before I present to clients. During the detail development and tender drawing stage, I was in charged to support the draft teams for the hand sketch details and check all the drawings, make sure that what we delivered to clients is a complete drawing package I worked closely with the teams to deliver the high quality of the presentation to the drawings and I represent the office by coordinating with my best consulting with clients and the other consultants. Note** Please apologize me for not being able to show the works for these current projects I am willing to present my recent works in person as I am not allowed to publish the works which is under RSD property.

I was the lead designer of this project. My work is from conceptual design until schematic design. This project proved that if the detail was prepared since the schematic, the cad work would be more easy to follow up as later this project was passed out to my other colleague during the tender and construction stage.
I was one man solo to this project, in chart of landscape architect. The state was started with concept design to the design development. The concept is a modern luxury and minimalist Japanese theme so all the details were inspired from Japanese form and elements. I was so lucky to have a chance to design something that out of SCDA style but still presenting the SCDA design language.
My work scope was more to softscape design, enhancing space by strategically selecting plant species and design the location to improve the space quality and create a visual approach. Also do the detail design with proportion study and selecting materials to match with overall mood.
I was involved in schematic design so my response was developing the design and provide a colonial language reflect to landscape details. Most of my design works were the top podium plan which being shown in this portfolio, including the proportion works, stone pattern&joint, neat details and the elements such as hotel front wall.
Project: Ayala Seda Sicogon Resort Location: Palawan Philippine Working under SCDA Architects Duty: Develop the design and Softscape Design Year: 2018 Final Status: Schematic design Categories: Beach Resort Site Area: 50,450 sq.m. I developed the master plan sketch from the lead design architect by adding the landscape elements & details into sketch up model before handling to the visualizer for the animation. I also provided the planting species & hardfinish materials for the renders and the entire package.
This is my first start up project in SCDA. They wanted to know my design capability so they tested me by letting me solo worked on this project. The idea was connecting the hilly site condition and the flat ground floor building by merging the ramp and steps. The space was designed to fit with both passive and active activities (gathering space or special event).

Project: JW Marriot Hotel Location: Delhi India Working under P LANDSCAPE Duty: Design+Presentation Year: 2009 Status: ON hold Categories: Hotel Site Area: 20,270 sq.m.
This is a competition project which challenged me before I first joined Tierra design My responsibility was interpreting the ideas from the design director into the master plan, from the sketchy into the reality of the elements with the aesthetic approach and a lush interesting greenery that everyoone loves to walk in. This project was one of the two nominees in the final round jury.
This project was inspired from a beautiful and elegant curves of a peacock. These languages were translated into the physical design elements and a feeling of the enclosure space. The colourful of peacock were represented by the multicolored of flowering plants. Unfortunately, it was pending after the conceptual design was finished.

Project: Residential park (Park lane Harbour) Location: Shenzhen China Working under TIERRA Design Duty: Design and Production leader Year: 2013 Status: Completed Categories: Recreation Park Site Area: 118,674.5 sq.m.
This is the first project I have had involved from the mobilisation stage until the construction completed. Also the first project I have learnt a lot about the detail works For the construction drawings, I have done without any assistants. Also, I was being a site coordinator until the construction was finished.
Mainly responded to my projects from conceptual design to the construction stage. Mostly involved in design coordination and on site problem by solving with design. This phase I was the leader for the construction drawings.

Project: Hyatt regency Bali Location: Bali Indonesia Working under TIERRA Design Duty: Design+Production Year: 2015 Status: Completed Categories: Resort Renovation Site Area: 53,983.65 sq.m. My role for the project, I was assigned to study the site context of the exterior space by building 3D model and explored the site problems. This project I worked closely with my director and architectural teams as I was the only one landscape architect. Also, I provided the materials that suit to site character and the detail designs to the project.

Project: Photography Location: Around the world Duty: Since: 2016 Status: Categories: Site Area: Taking architectural photograph is my usual habit while travelling. This activity help me to improve my perspective skill which relates to my landscape design because as a designer, I have to know how to frame the space and how to do a good composition and finally, how to make my design become more interesting.
Project : Saladang One resident (2014)
Client : SC Asset Location : Bangkok, Thailand Areas : 3,365 sq.m. Program : Luxury condominium Final Status : Completed Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole landscape including show flat exterior. Only the rendering views were done by other colleagues. Conceptual diagram The exclusively luxurious high-rise condominium in Bangkok. The design figure is forced to be very elegant and unique style. However, the site was small and most of the ground area having basement underneath so it was very challenged to design. What’s more, the requirement of LEED platinum certificate and the construction issues also important. Black and White are well represented for an attractive appearance. So, the focal point was defined by black marble cladding on one useful element in the space because of the restricted area. The function requirements were cleverly integrated into all design elements. P1 P2
P1 Explanation of the feature wall concept which was inspired from the architectural facade, so that the unity and sense of belonging were created. P2 My 3D graphic rendering of front elevation shows the composition and the relationship from the entrance feature wall to building.

P3
The inspiration of the falling water feature came from the space condition which are the low ceiling and the under shading area. Obviously, plants could not survive. For a surrounding context, the noise from a street outside, the water curtain was crated to distort the noise. Also, introducing the 3 dimensional effects of the water feature that connect the black box (the strong element of architectural facade), so the falling waters was the linked part to combine white water feature and opposite black box (ceiling above) together then it turned to be the whole art work for this area. Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole landscape including show flat exterior. Only the rendering views were done by other colleagues.

P2 There was no space underneath the slab, so pool and planter boxes have to be raised up from the floor level. In this case, the infinity pool was to be proposed. The materials are to be minimized to share the same architectural finish which were playing with white and black marble in proportionally.
P4 Site photo : Kid pool which separated from the main pool but still link by visual connection

P2 This pocket garden have the same condition with the roof top swimming pool. Everything have to be raised up from floor level, but green shades and garden theme have to be provided. Because of the very small and narrow space, the composition skill and sense of proportion is important to make this terrace garden more attractive.
P4 Site photo : the L shape seating in the corner for the social interaction
Show flat My design was to implement the temporally build-in art to the show gallery. At this early stage, the architectural theme of black&white marble still under developing, so I treated the small landscape area to be the art work for this display space. Ofcourse the art piece have to look good from outside and inside the building. The sculpture was the combination of feature planter and gently slope of water feature. The hole from the roof was projected in double size of the round shape planting island, not only creating the connection of the unity of the design but also the light source for the tree to be survived. Personal Responsibility : I fully design the whole external elements including steps, water feature plinth with planter, planting species and a dark plain at the roof with a circular void for the light.

So I contributed the space by planing the location of feature trees, including the variation of forms, shape of canopy and playing the contrasting of shrubs in term of form, texture and colours into the master plan. For the hardscape works, including the object elements such as water feature, wall pattern, feature spout, there were considered to be under the my detail design scopes.

Personal Responsibility : Detail and Elemental designs, presentation and Drawing package My second project in SCDA, My first task was to understand the colonial architecture and reflect it into the landscape design. With the site itself, the existing colonial house was preserved to be a hotel lobby so I did the mood images board by combining the strong existing elements with the colonial planting character and garden space. Most of my design works were the top podium plan which being shown in this page, including the proportion works, stone pattern&joint, neat details and the elements such as hotel front wall.
COLONIAL ARCHITECTURE is an architectural style from a mother country that has been incorporated into the buildings of settlements or colonies in distant locations. Colonists frequently built settlements that synthesized the architecture of their countries of origin with the design characteristics of their new lands, creating hybrid designs.

Project : South Marina Bay (Competition, 2012) A refreshment oasis in the heart of the urban district.
Client : Maple tree Investments Pte.,Ltd. Location : South Marina, Singapore Areas : 35,040 sq.m. Program : Landscape concept design competition Status : Be one of the last 2 companies which had been nominated to the final round jury. My Personal Responsibility : After brainstorming the concept, I generated the conceptual idea into the space in every floor plans. (I sketched and designed the whole project only the presentation has done by other colleagues.)
The flourishing green will flow out into neighbouring Central Linear Park and Marina Station Square. Commuters from the MRT station in south-east will be drawn towards the lively green heart which is accommodating at all times of the day. The idea is envisions the landscape to magically compliment the project’s landmark quality and become a new icon for Singapore. The crowning piece of the project will be a proposed halo shaped sculpture, suspended above the rainforest heart above the Sky Garden. Evocative of the buildings’ ribbons; a mountain cloud and in the evenings a glowing disk, the halo will provide much ephemerality to the project (see P2 on next page). The connection between the rainforest and the neighbouring context are at first suggested by the project’s patterned ground-scape. As the grained paving ground reaches the water channel, the paving bursts into large playful splashes of paving. The paving swirls and engulfs mounds of greenery, evocative of a rainforest floor. (see ground floor plan next page) The project’s entrances will form thresholds of beginnings and transport one from the expanse of the city into the project’s natural heart. The main pedestrian entrance will provide the strongest connection between the fluid rainforest to the surrounding urban grid (see P1 on next page). Experientially, the landscape and project combine will be an unfolding narrative reflecting a rich variety of experiences: iconic and intimate, contained and revealed, reflective and soft. overall perspective shows a space relation

Client : Marriott Development Location : Delhi, India Areas : 20,270 sq.m. Program : Hotel Status : Conceptual design Personal Responsibility : full part of entire design and presentation process Peacock is an exotic Indian animal so it was used for an inspiration of the concept to create a strong identity theme to the hotel. The peacock was interpreted from their movements, the beautiful body shape and the colours into every design elements. Also peacock’s colours have been integrated to planting design concept. The curving lines of their body and the gradient of its colours were represented on the layout plan. Due to an organic form of the space, the free-form lines are the best solution. It also created flowing space and enclosure space. Dramatic atmosphere was translated from the peacock spreading tail-feathers which is appeared as the feature mound at the outdoor dining area. Also it was a feature backdrop that created stunning look and provided softscape area to the project.

Personal Responsibility : full participation of entire design process, leader of construction drawing teams. This project was divided into 4 phases. -
Club house Main entrance and Internal road Retails (Commercial building) Phase 1 and green belt along the beach
This is the large mixed-use project which I fully participated as a project landscape architect. My responsibility was to look thoroughly to the design from the beginning concept to the construction drawing. Due to the fact that this project consists of many high-rise residents, low-rise residents and commercial developments. So the area was divided in to 4 phases and my tasks was to accomplish each area phase by phase over 2 years period. This is because I was the only landscape architect in the office. Later, at phase 4, I have two of landscape assistants who helped me to produce the drawings. This project provided me an experience to work with a famous international company, Foster and Partner ,The architect of Club house and Retail Building. Moreover this project challenged me to take more concerned about design relationship and the adjacent phases. Not only I have learnt how to carry on the design language but also how to maintain the project’s consistency.

2. Club House (2012) To create the harmonisation between architecture and landscape. Geometry and line had become initial role in landscape design by creating and enhancing the relationship between building and landscape.
LAY OUT PLAN SCALE 1:1000
The role of Club house will act like a friendly owner who always welcome everyone. The first visual approach was designed by creating two rows of columnar trees, composed with a sculpture as a focal point at this area as the long horisontal line of the oceanwill be a final focal point to see. Raising an open lawn space will help to continue the approach directly to the beach also hidden the socialising pool space as it will be the final scene after entering the club house. An initial key concept was a very nice approach to the beach. The centre walkway from club house will be an intimate approach goal for our guests which is encouraging them to step out into the landscape scenery outside and enjoy watching sunset at the beach. 4. Phase 1 and green belt along the beach (2013) The concept was introducing a lush green open-space to the community, also, soften the harsh concrete of the high-rise buildings. The 3 irregular shapes were formed by the buildings at the centre courts so that the idea of using free-form shapes was the best for creating a nice visual landform and for making a flowing space from one court to another court. There were a huge underground car-park taking over underneath the site. Not only the softscape mounds could help increasing soil depth for big trees but also creating an interesting enclosure space. The overlapping between the mounds themselves can create various interesting layers into the space, also enhance the pathway to be more interesting to walk. A big colourful feature tree was planted individually in each of the enclosure space. This is for enhancing a visual attraction in the main court and it will be named by the name of the main colourful tree for each court for users to easily recognise their resident. The open lawn areas at the south were connected to beach front. This was a formal approach to lead the visual axis to the beach. The elements of curving green belt played as two branches to define the sense of entry space from beach road to our project.
