GREEN LIVING
The consumer is a lot more aware these days due to the exposure that comes with social media. The world has become smaller – it’s become so easy to see what trends are big in different parts of the world. Green living is still top of the list, but looking at the direction fashion is going in embracing more culturally inspired looks with vibrant colours and geometrics, I see a lot more colour coming into homes and design.
What sets my work apart from the rest is that understanding your space is an extension of your personality, I seek to extend my clients’ personalities into their spaces. Your essence will never date – while trends come and go, you will always be relevant.
Design Dreams International
I am Rekgotswe Mapudi Mahlare, founder of House of A Goddess, which aims for durable, timeless styling in luxury interior finishings. I am also a cloud technology specialist in the ICT sector. As co-founder, Lerato Lelaka is a stickler for perfection. We merged, with her extensive experience in building, infrastructure and PR providing an end-to-end full turnkey service for building, renovations, interior furnishing and styling.
TIMELESS STYLING
Interior trends for next year will lean on a variety of creative wall applications such as wall panelling, wall moulding, architraves and wallpaper. We will also see a lot of minimalistic furnishings, soft palettes of natural woods with accentuation of greenery such as pampas grass, and green ornaments. For colour, we are looking at mustard yellow, royal blues, greens, and black and white in occasional furniture.
What sets House of A Goddess apart from the rest is
