HELLO ! Iam Nutan and I love coffee . An undergraduate student of Architecture 5th year ,The Habitat study always fascinates , Rather than just the built form standing alone, I always want to create a sense of belonging between the people and the apace through the intangible elements and i try my best to incorporate these intangile elements in my design by trying to critically analyse the existing spaces, I always feel that These Intangible things play a vital role in making the design User Oriented . The local context and sustainability makes the design very specific to the site. Architecture has brought dichotomy of my personality , allowing me to engage both creatively and scientifically with aesthetic and functional aspects of design. It really facinates me that how architecture can make a major change in how a person thinks! The portfolio showcase selected works, designs , documentation and details during my curriculum.

Dissertation

Social interaction in the market square and streets

Objective

The purpose of this study is to investigate the character of street, market square, usman gunj, a commercial street where Bidars famous Mahmud gawan madarsa is located and how the social interaction takes place there. Aim Streets as a public space A street is a connection between nodes present in a city, which becomes an important place for people to interact, gather. The type of street can determine the city’s character. By portraying their own sense of place, they retain their unique identity and give psychological and functional meaning to the lives of people. Traditional streets in the heart of a city where historic buildings are located are visited daily by numerous peoples and should be evaluated for their physical characteristics and spatial qualities. The study will look at the street and the market space in terms of imageability, enclosure, human scale, transparency, and complexity and would explain the relevance of this in human interaction. “Streets should be for staying in, and not just for moving through, the way they are today.” (Alexander, C., Ishikawa,S., Silverstein, M., 1977 The two main public space of a city are the market and the streets, the context, people and the how is the space is being used determines quality of any street or the market square. The key difference between a road and the street is the movement. They are three dimensional and are enclosed by buildings. Market squares are very static but the streets are vibrant in nature. Streets and market squares in India are used for many activities like shopping, sleeping, eating, grazing, playing, and sometimes it gives the shelter for the homeless at night. The market squares and the streets are enhanced by the physical quality and the ambience of that space.
