INTRODUCTION J AK GROUP was incorporated in 2008. They have been manufacturing small leather goods for the American and European markets. We have four leather goods factories. In all these facili es, their produc on capacity is approximately 50,000 small leather goods each month which are sold under the brand names of repute like Tommy HilďŹ ger, Guess, R & R, H&M, Zara, Levis,Calvin Klein, UCB and others. As in all other business, they have professionals who manage their leather goods sampling and produc on facili es and have. grown from modest beginnings to what is today a sizeable business for them.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT The internship module gives an opportunity to the students to spend eight weeks in a leather goods industry, so to develop proper understanding about the working atmosphere of the company. This module helps students to develop a prac cal understanding and learning. Therefore having received this opportunity myself I, Nutendra kumar singh would like to extend my humble gra tude towards all the people with whose eorts this module was a success: Mr.Raj Bha a & Mrs.Nidhi Bha a (Board of Directors) for giving me an opportunity to undergo the internship in the industry. ABOUT ME In my official industrial internship of two months (during the course of gradua on) I worked for JAK Group Pvt Ltd, Gurgaon, one of the leading export & manufacturing houses for leather products in India, where I developed a mini collec on of womenswear handbags and few surface explora on on leather based on the trend reference for the season A/W 16.17. Also documented the work flow of the company and the assembly system prevailing in the organisa on. Analysed the products being made in the organisa on with details of specific country / buyer target market, pricing details, types of materials and quality acceptance parameter.

BAG
Issey Miyake is a Japanese fashion designer and fragrance connoisseur. He is known for his technology-driven clothing designs, exhibi ons and fragrances, most notably the "L'eau d Issey" brand scent which became his most iconic product worldwide.
ISSEY MIYAKE
Issey Miyake Both light and soft, it folds, accommodates and transforms itself after handling to create dramatic new shapes. BAO BAO ISSEY MIYAKE is a line of bags and pouches with the theme of “shapes made by chance.” It features a flexible functionality perfect for busy modern lifestyles. Since its inception in 2000, it has established a unique array of products through its pursuit of shapes born out of simple pieces and diverse materials.
Issey Miyake debuted his first collec on in New York in 1971 and began par cipa ng in Paris Fashion Week from 1973. His unique concept of clothing as “A Piece Of Cloth” was widely acclaimed throughout the world from the very beginning. An inexhaus ble explorer, he has con nued to open up new horizons for making clothes through research, experimenta on and development while reimagining the rela onship between the human body and clothing. With a resolute determina on of moving ever forward, Miyake has brought forth several epoch-making outcomes, including original pleated pieces from 1989, which would later develop into PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE, and the basic idea and process of A-POC in 1997, this me in collabora on with Dai Fujiwara, which would soon evolve into a design solu on called A-POC INSIDE which was incorporated into the ISSEY MIYAKE collec ons as well as in all other brands owned by the ISSEY MIYAKE group.

The backpack — now a must-have every season, con nues to evolve aesthe cally as well as func onally. The latest styles are diverse, with inspira ons ranging from Minimalist to rave culture. Leather is fresh in ma e finishes, and rainbow colors put playful spins on animal prints and furry materials. Meanwhile, emerging hybrid styles that double as totes, messengers or duffels offer carriage versa lity. Ma e leathers lend themselves to minimalist aesthe cs.
